Weining Autonomous County Secondary Vocational School was founded in April 2013, by the former Weining Autonomous County Vocational and Technical Senior High School, Caohai Art School (former Weishi), Weining Autonomous County Health Vocational and Technical Training Center (former County Health School) three schools integrated. Is the integration of secondary education, skills training, adult education as one of the comprehensive public secondary vocational schools.

The county government in order to do a good job of secondary vocational education in Weining Autonomous County, assigned the famous school principal Comrade Ning Chuan Ying as Weining Autonomous County Secondary Vocational School principal, successfully passed the acceptance of the provincial demonstration school in 2012 (Bijie City, the only assessment of the county school acceptance), so that the Weining Autonomous County Secondary Vocational Education to a new level.
