China's small and medium-sized enterprise division standards:
China's current division of small and medium-sized enterprise standards for the former State Home Economy and Trade Commission, the former State Development Planning Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the National Bureau of Statistics on February 19, 2003 issued the "on the issuance of small and medium-sized enterprise standards Interim Provisions of the Circular" (State Economic and Trade Small and Medium-sized Enterprises 〔2003〕 No. 143), to the main industries of the standards for small and medium-sized enterprises were clearly defined.
The standards are based on indicators such as the number of employees, sales and total assets of an enterprise, and are formulated in conjunction with the characteristics of the industry. According to the Circular, SMEs in different industries should be recognized according to the following criteria:
1. Industry, small and medium-sized enterprises
must meet the following conditions: the number of employees is less than 2,000, or sales is less than 30,000,000 yuan, or the total amount of assets is 40,000,000 yuan or less. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 300 or more, sales of 30 million yuan and above, total assets of 40 million yuan and above; the rest are small enterprises.
2, construction, small and medium-sized enterprises
Subject to the following conditions: the number of employees of 3,000 or less, or sales of 300 million yuan or less, or total assets of 400 million yuan or less. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 600 or more, sales of 30 million yuan and above, total assets of 40 million yuan and above; the rest of the small enterprises.
3. Wholesale and retail trade, small and medium-sized enterprises in the retail trade
Subject to the following conditions: 500 or fewer employees, or sales of 15,000 million yuan or less. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 100 people and above, sales of 10 million yuan and above; the rest are small enterprises.
4, small and medium-sized enterprises in the wholesale industry
Must meet the following conditions: the number of employees less than 200, or sales of less than 30,000,000 yuan. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 100 or more, sales of 30 million yuan and above; the rest are small enterprises.
5, transportation and postal industry, small and medium-sized enterprises in the transportation industry
Subject to the following conditions: the number of employees less than 3,000, or sales of less than 30,000,000 yuan. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 500 or more, sales of 30 million yuan and above; the rest are small enterprises.
Small and medium-sized enterprises in the postal industry must meet the following conditions: the number of employees is less than 1,000, or sales of less than 30 million yuan. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 400 or more, sales of 30 million yuan and above; the rest are small enterprises.
6, accommodation and catering industry, small and medium-sized enterprises
Must meet the following conditions: the number of employees less than 800, or sales of less than 15,000 million yuan. Among them, medium-sized enterprises must also meet the number of employees 400 or more, sales of 30 million yuan and above; the rest are small enterprises.
