1. Flexible scheduling
The number one rule for saving money is to be flexible with your travel schedule. To put it bluntly, don't bunch up during peak hours. Everyone schedules vacations to travel. If you schedule your annual vacation as wisely as possible, you'll have the perfect peak. Save money and have a great experience.
Take Shanghai Disneyland for example. According to the official ticketing calendar, except during the June grand opening, the standard ticket price for summer, winter and peak holidays is RMB 499 per person, while the daily ticket price is RMB 499 per person out of RMB 370, a difference of 130 yuan.
2. "Bundled sales" don't have to be hated by everyone.
"Bundled sales" refers to the provision of services such as hotel and airport transfers for amusement parks, which make it more cost-effective for tourists to buy such packages.
At the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, U.S.A., vacation packages include airport transfers, lodging rooms, park tickets and in-park dining plans, including food, lodging and transportation. In addition, hotel and airfare rates are discounted from standard rates. According to the ticket prices given on the official website, packages cost $90 per person, compared with an average price of $114 during peak times, so packages can sometimes be a big savings.
3. Imperfect weather can make for a perfect experience
In the summer when the amusement parks are full, you can choose to go on a rainy day (even if the weather is extreme such as stormy weather). This can effectively avoid long wait times for programs and save the summer, even the sunscreen. Get in line on a cloudy day. If it's drizzling, go to an indoor show or have a meal. The schedule is reasonable.
4. Don't overlook the extras.
Don't just focus on the price of admission, but also how much parking costs, whether all experiences are included in the ticket, whether there are extra charges for additional water parks, whether swimming laps are available for rent for a fee, and so on. This series of issues should be carefully studied before departure, so as not to affect the mood of the tour because of some small price difference.
5. Get up early
One of the default principles of amusement parks is to always go early. It's best to line up at the ticket booth before the park opens, so you can go straight in as soon as the gates open. Arriving half an hour early is a very safe time considering the queue. This way you can do the popular programs in the shortest amount of time and experience others the rest of the time.
If you don't want to get up early, consider staying at a hotel inside the parks, such as Universal Orlando, which allows hotel patrons to enter the parks an hour early on certain days. This is still a good deal all things considered, as the cost of time is also important.
6. Or. See a late show.
Either get in line as early as possible, but I'm sure many of you, like me, will be wandering out the door for a long time; or the later the better. There tends to not be much of a line for the larger programs in the short time before closing. Also, many of the parks are more attractively lit than they are during the day.
Of course, the best-case scenario is that the park opens a "back door" for you to experience the "magic" for a while after everyone else has left. Walt Disney World offers this benefit to guests staying at Walt Disney World hotels so they can finally have some fun.
7. If you can take public transportation without paying for it, don't pay for it.
Even if you're not staying at the Paradise Hotel, you can still ride the shuttles between the hotel and the parks for free. These shuttles are free to hotel patrons and don't check your ID. This is an excellent mode of transportation if you are bringing your kids to have fun.
8. Use your cell phone where you should.
Many large theme parks have their own official apps on which you can see the current queue times for each ride. Make good use of these apps to rationalize your queue times and maximize your time. So, watch fewer soap operas and save some power for something worthwhile.
For example, Shanghai Disneyland is a popular roller coaster. Lines can be as short as 15-20 minutes when you first enter the park, and after one lap, the line goes up to 60-75 minutes.
This is the time to play other less popular rides. Keep an eye on Tron's queue lengths during this time and wait until the time reaches an acceptable range before queuing. Nothing will be delayed and you avoid waiting in line for a long time for nothing.
9. correctly take the project's "back door"
The most hateful behavior in the amusement park should be that other people in the queue almost do not move, you take the "back door" instantly to the front of the queue.
It doesn't depend on the relationship, as long as you're more proactive once the park opens. At Disney, there is a Fastpass ticket that you can pick up. You can pick it up at the Guest Center in the area where the Fastpass program is located after the park opens, and experience the program without waiting in line for a designated period of time.
10. Bring your own dry food
Eating is actually the smallest part of every trip to an amusement park. Sometimes I get high and don't even eat anything. If you can fix your own meals, you can really save a lot. Before you leave, you can check the official website to see what the requirements are for your carry-on. Some are very strict and only allow unopened bottled water. Some will be much more lenient and allow your own food.
Even Shanghai Disneyland, which is rumored to have "overpriced" buns, allows you to bring your own unopened food. Whether it's bread, ham, rice balls, or even instant noodles, you can bring as much as you want as long as it's unopened. It's too expensive to bring your own. It's too perfect.
11. Make good use of social media
You can follow the theme parks you are interested in on various social media platforms. Generally amusement parks will have their own official homepages, which will release some latest news and favorable activities from time to time. In addition, some special adjustments, such as the closure of the park due to weather conditions and the suspension of ticket sales due to major reception tasks, will also be released on media platforms. The next time you visit the microblogging may wish to pay attention to it.
12. Paradise fanatics should purchase season or annual passes.
If your circumstances permit: first, I don't care much about spending a little more on an annual or season pass; second, it's closer to the playground; and third, enough enthusiasm can drive you to enter the park multiple times a year. Well, you definitely get what you pay for when you buy one.
13. Don't stand in line when you enter the park.
While I understand that you've gone through a lot of trouble to squeeze through all the older men and women and high school students to get to the park, it's hard to contain your excitement about experiencing the rides as soon as possible. But at this point, I'd like to advise you not to rush, you might as well head inside and queue up in those areas away from the gates.
Often the items closest to the entrances are crowded at the beginning of the park because everyone is used to playing at the entrances. This is the perfect time to avoid the moment-to-moment crowds if you do the opposite.
14. Purchase tickets through third-party channels
Make good use of third-party ticketing platforms to purchase tickets, which are generally about 10% lower than the official website ticket prices. But be sure to keep your eyes peeled and choose a reputable and reliable third-party website, as tickets are strictly time-sensitive, so as not to lose out.
15. It is important to buy tickets in advance.
Book your tickets as early as possible to avoid sudden official price hikes, which can be around 5%-8% per year for large parks. So, if possible, and you're sure you want to go to an amusement park next summer, get on it.
16. Understand the difference between a theme park and an amusement park
Last but not least, let's take a walk.
Most people do the most running from one ride to the next at an amusement park, believing that the right thing to do is to experience as many amenities as possible. In fact, I would argue that themed amusement parks can offer much more than rides. When you try to slow down and enjoy those street performances, you'll realize its beautiful and childlike side.
