Sichuan cuisine college was founded in 1985. It was originally under the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Internal Trade of People's Republic of China (PRC). Due to the reform of the national university system, Yu 1998 was placed in charge of the Sichuan provincial government. It is the only full-time public university named after cooking in China, which specializes in cultivating tourism and catering talents. The school now covers a total area of 7 10 mu (another planned land 1 160 mu), and has three campuses: Qingjiang Campus, Beixiangzi Campus and Longquan Campus. Qingjiang Campus (Headquarters) is located on the bank of Huanhua River in the western suburbs of Chengdu, adjacent to the famous Du Fu Caotang, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan Normal University, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other institutions, with a strong academic atmosphere.
At present, there are more than 6,000 students and 442 faculty members, including 3 professors, 9 associate professors, doctors and doctoral students, including 6 experts who enjoy special allowance from the State Council, outstanding experts at ministerial level, experts with outstanding contributions in Sichuan Province and reserve candidates for academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province. National Vocational Skills Judge 15, 56 national advanced vocational qualifications, and 38 national famous teachers. There are also 10 1 part-time teachers who have hired foreign experts for many years. The existing teaching instruments and equipment are worth 26.463 million yuan. There are 534,000 books. There are advanced leisure facilities such as hotel experimental training teaching center, catering service training building, English autonomous learning center, tourism resource exhibition room, simulated travel agency, tour guide training room, tourism exhibition center, comprehensive gymnasium, golf driving range, beach volleyball court, tennis court, swimming pool and rock climbing.
Campus scenery school attaches great importance to international exchanges and has a strong academic atmosphere. At present, we have established long-term inter-school cooperative relations with Du Kai Hotel Management College and Marseille Hotel Management College, and regularly exchange teachers and students. Every year, teachers go to the United States, Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Canada and other countries to study, inspect, give lectures and communicate, and receive more than 2,000 tourists from all over the world every year. In the talent evaluation of higher vocational colleges in May 2007, the school's achievements were well received by the expert group of the Ministry of Education. Sichuan cuisine college is the deputy director of the teaching steering Committee of catering management and service specialty in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education, and the examiner of the self-taught examination of cooking technology, hotel management and catering management specialty in Sichuan Province. At present, it has covered undergraduate, junior college, oral vocational school (for vocational high school, technical secondary school and technical school graduates), five-year vocational school (for junior high school graduates), adult education and short-term training (for classes in March and May).
