First, the current situation of food hygiene and safety in schools in our city
1. Raise awareness, strengthen leadership and attach importance to daily publicity and education.
Every year in mid-March, the city's school health and food safety work conference will be held to comprehensively review last year's work, sum up experience, commend the advanced, arrange specific work for the new school year, carry out a general inspection of school food hygiene and safety throughout the city, and effectively regard school food hygiene and safety work as an important part of building a harmonious society and a harmonious campus. Pay attention to the daily publicity and education work, and require schools at all levels and types to seriously study the Food Safety Law, the Guidelines for the Quantitative and Graded Management of Food Hygiene Supervision, the Regulations on the Hygienic Management of School Dining Rooms and School Group Dining, and the Interim Provisions on the Investigation of Administrative Responsibility for School Food Poisoning Accidents.
2. Establish a mechanism to improve the system and promote the standardized management of school canteens.
Establish and improve the food hygiene and safety management institutions in primary and secondary schools, implement grid management for schools at all levels, require schools to set up food safety leading groups, and establish a long-term mechanism for school food safety management. Further clarify that the main person in charge is the first person in charge of food safety management, and the competent leaders should be specifically responsible for supervising the implementation of various food safety systems and measures. Establish and improve the management system of school canteens, define the job responsibilities of relevant personnel according to the Regulations and Guidelines on School Hygiene formulated by the Municipal School Health Station and the Detailed Rules for Quantitative Evaluation of School Canteen Grades in Henan Province, strictly control the hygiene requirements of raw materials procurement, transportation, storage, processing and sales, ensure food safety and hygiene, and standardize the management of school canteens.
3. Carefully organize and strengthen training to improve the overall quality of employees.
In view of the current situation of high mobility and low quality of catering employees, summer vacation was used to train the vice principals in charge of food safety and catering management personnel in counties (cities, districts) and schools directly under the bureau on food safety laws, regulations and various systems. Ensure training at least once a year, and resolutely do not train or work. At the same time, it is necessary to urge primary and secondary schools to use this time before the start of winter and summer vacations to train all catering employees.
4. Strengthen supervision, regular inspection, and strengthen the supervision of school canteens.
In order to strengthen the school food hygiene and safety work and ensure the food hygiene and safety of school teachers and students, the city's school food hygiene and safety inspection is carried out every spring and autumn to commend advanced units, and rectification notices are issued to units with problems, requiring relevant units to make rectification within a time limit. Units that have not been rectified in time should be resolutely given to informed criticism to further standardize the food hygiene and safety management of primary and secondary schools in the city.
In order to further strengthen the supervision and management of school food hygiene and safety, standardize the entrusted operation behavior of school canteens, and ensure the food safety of teachers and students, the school health station has formulated a comprehensive evaluation standard for the entrusted operation of school canteens in Pingdingshan City, and inspected and evaluated the entrusted operation of primary and secondary schools in the city twice a year. Catering enterprises that fail to pass the evaluation results and cause hidden dangers in school food safety are required to be retired from school and included in the "blacklist", and are not allowed to operate in Pingdingshan City.
5. Make persistent efforts, continue to push forward and do a good job in the evaluation of provincial canteens.
Carrying out the quantitative classification management system of food safety is an important measure to improve the efficiency and level of food safety management in schools. In order to implement the quantitative evaluation of the grade of primary and secondary school canteens in Henan Province, the school health station actively guides counties (cities, districts) to set up a quantitative evaluation team for the grade of canteens, organizes the primary and secondary schools in the city to seriously check themselves, recognizes the grade, and actively declares the first-class canteens in the province. Up to now, 33 schools in our city have passed the acceptance of the provincial education department and won the honorary title of provincial first-class canteen. In this year's sixth round of quantitative work on the grade of primary and secondary school canteens, our city has 13.

Second, the problems faced by school food hygiene and safety work
In recent years, education administrative departments at all levels and schools have seriously strengthened the management of food hygiene and safety in schools, done a lot of fruitful work and achieved remarkable results. The food safety of primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in the city is generally good. The awareness of food hygiene and safety in schools has been generally enhanced, and various management systems in canteens have been established and standardized, forming an interlocking management model of education bureau, schools, competent departments and employees, which has laid a solid foundation for food hygiene and safety work. However, if we carefully analyze the current situation of food hygiene and safety in school canteens in our city, we should clearly see that there are still some weak links and problems that cannot be ignored in school food hygiene and safety work.
1. The principals (directors) of some schools (kindergartens) pay little attention to food hygiene and safety, and the food safety management system and management are not perfect.
2. Some schools (kindergartens) have insufficient investment in canteen construction, especially in rural schools. Poor sanitary conditions, canteen construction has not been included in the overall planning of school (kindergarten) construction. The construction of living facilities lags behind the construction of teaching facilities, and the student canteen is not suitable for the development of the school.
3. During the construction of canteens in schools with weak compulsory education in rural areas, the engineering design drawings were not audited by the competent department of food hygiene and safety, and the canteen design was unreasonable. When designing, it is only designed according to the architectural requirements, without considering the sanitary requirements of the school canteen, which generally leads to unreasonable functional zoning, neglect of operating procedures and substandard smoke exhaust and drainage facilities.
