From July 20 17 17, passengers travelling on trains with the prefix of G and D can make reservations through the website of 12306 and the mobile APP. Passengers can book meals provided by the train dining car or social brand meals provided by meals along the way.

There are 27 pilot feeding stations, mainly high-speed rail passenger stations in Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xi 'an, Shenyang, Changchun, Wuhan, Jinan, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing and Lanzhou. After the passengers make a successful reservation, the train attendants at the railway station will deliver the meals to the carriages and seats designated by the reservation passengers.
