I think it is very unreasonable to ask students to pay for the installation of air-conditioning in university dormitories. With the development of society and the needs of society nowadays, many universities are planning to install air-conditioning in dormitories to provide students with a better living accommodation, which is a very good thing. But some schools are making students pay for the cost of installing air conditioning, which is very unreasonable. The installation of air conditioning in school dormitories should be a matter for the schools themselves. Providing students with a good living environment is a very good way for schools to improve their environment and increase their visibility. It is unreasonable to ask students to pay for this, because they will only live in the dormitory for four years, but the air-conditioners may run for more than ten years. It would be unfair to the students to have to pay for this.
The school should think of some other way to get the money, either through the school's construction funds or through some of the companies involved. Now there are some schools, their funds are indeed very tight, to install air conditioning in every dormitory is a very large expenditure, this time some schools have innovative ways and means, and some companies to cooperate, the money borne by the enterprise, but the students have to pay for the lease of the air conditioning, and pay the cost of electricity for their use, I think this is reasonable. Doing this through a third-party company solves the students' need for air conditioning without making them pay for it themselves. However, the school should sign a relevant contract with the third-party company, to restrain the behavior of the third-party company, not to let them charge too high a price, and to charge students reasonably and legally for air-conditioning rental. So, it is unreasonable for schools to let students pay for their own air conditioning, but it is still reasonable to charge students a certain amount of air conditioning rental fees, which tells some schools that they must be innovative in the ways and means of work, and strive to create better services for students.
