Chengdu is located in the west of Sichuan Basin, on the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, bordering Deyang in the northeast, ziyang in the southeast, Meishan in the south, Ya 'an in the southwest and Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in the northwest.
