Article 1 In order to respect the customs and habits of ethnic minorities, safeguard the supply of halal food, strengthen the supervision and management of halal food production and operation, and promote the healthy development of the halal food industry, these regulations are formulated in accordance with the State Council's "Regulations on the Work of the Ethnic Minorities in the Cities", "Regulations on the Supervision and Protection of Halal Foods in Jiangsu Province" and other laws and regulations, and in conjunction with the actual situation of the city. Article 2 The halal food referred to in these regulations refers to food produced and operated in accordance with the traditional dietary practices of Hui, Uygur, Kazakh, Dongxiang, Kyrgyz, Salar, Tajik, Uzbek, Bao'an, Tatar and other ethnic minorities (hereinafter referred to as halal dietary practices). Article 3 The production and operation of halal food and its supervision and management and other activities within the administrative area of the city shall be subject to these Regulations. Halalal food names, advertisements, publicity, packaging shall not contain halal dietary practices of ethnic minorities taboo content. Non-halal food name, advertising, publicity, packaging shall not use the word "halal" or marked with halal meaning of the symbol. Article 10 halal food dedicated livestock and poultry slaughtering by the municipal ethnic affairs department in conjunction with the municipal agricultural administrative department to determine. The municipal department of ethnic affairs shall have halal dietary practices of ethnic minorities in the relative concentration of areas, stations, airports and other places of distribution and commercial centers, to determine a certain number of halal food basic supply points. Article XVI of the municipal and district people's governments shall, according to the actual needs of the development of halal food in the region, the basic supply of halal food construction, production and operation of subsidies for renovation projects, rental subsidies for business premises, bank loan interest subsidies.

The basic supply points of halal food meet the relevant preferential conditions of national tax laws and regulations, shall enjoy preferential tax policies.

Basic halal food supply points to stop the production and operation of halal food, should be informed thirty days in advance of the municipal ethnic affairs department. Stop producing and operating halal food, no longer enjoy the relevant support and preferential policies.
