What are the environmental factors in ISO 14001 from a catering perspective
When identifying environmental factors, it is important to consider five types of factors: water, gas, sound, slag, resources and energy, including the following:

a) emissions to the atmosphere;

b) emissions to water bodies;

c) emissions to land;

d) use of raw materials and natural resources;

e) energy use;

f ) release of energy (e.g., heat, radiation, vibration, etc.);

g ) waste and by-products;

h ) physical attributes (e.g., size, shape, color, appearance).

Factors related to the organization's activities, products, and services that should be considered in determining environmental factors include, among others, the following:

a ) Design and development;

b ) Manufacturing processes;

c ) Packaging and transportation;

d ) Contractor's and supplier's environmental performance and operating practices;

e ) Waste management;

f ) access to and distribution of raw materials and natural resources;

g ) distribution, use and disposal of products;

h ) wildlife and biodiversity.
