Sichuan Institute of Tourism is a full-time general undergraduate college sponsored by the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and is the only full-time general undergraduate college of tourism in China.
Sichuan Institute of Tourism, formerly known as Sichuan Culinary Higher Specialized School, was established in April 2013 with the approval of the Ministry of Education through the merger of the former Sichuan Culinary Higher Specialized School and the former Sichuan Agricultural Management Cadre College, and was renamed as Sichuan Institute of Tourism.
As of June 2014, the school covers an area of more than 700 acres, with a beautiful campus environment, and has built a national AAA-level tourist attraction - Leisure Gourmet Culture Park, which perfectly integrates the campus and tourist attractions to provide students with an excellent learning and living environment.
The school library has a collection of 830,000 books, with 14 teaching departments and 36 majors for undergraduate and professional enrollment. There are 422 full-time teachers, 161 of them have senior and deputy senior titles. Ordinary full-time enrollment of more than 8000 people. Recognized by the National Western Tourism Talent Training Base as "National Western Tourism Catering Skills Training Demonstration Unit" and "National Western Rural Tourism Training Demonstration Unit".
