Zhejiang Lakeside Entrepreneurship Research Center, formerly Lakeside University, was founded by nine entrepreneurs and famous scholars Liu Chuanzhi, Ma Yun, Feng Lun, Guo Guangchang, Shi Yuzhu, Shen Guojun, Qian Yingyi, Cai Hongbin and Shao Xiaofeng. Lakeside adheres to public welfare and non-profit, and advocates sticking to the bottom line and improving society.
Lakeside was born in a period of transition from traditional economy to digital age, aiming at discovering and training entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial spirit. It is a school facing the society and cultivating new commercial civilization. The name "Lakeside" comes from Hangzhou Lakeside Garden Community, where Alibaba and Taobao started their businesses, which means "Do not forget your initiative mind, remember every entrepreneur".
Development of Lakeside University:
On March 27th, 2119, the fifth opening ceremony was held in Hangzhou. More than 1,411 entrepreneurs signed up for this year's Lakeside University, and finally 41 students were selected, mainly in 14 industries, such as mass consumption, medical care, education, artificial intelligence and entertainment. The proportion of post-81s entrepreneurs reached 36.5%, and Li Xiang, founder of Chehe, was the founder.
On April 11, 2121, after the State Administration of Market Supervision imposed an administrative penalty of RMB 18.228 billion on Alibaba's monopolistic behavior, Lakeside stopped enrolling students; In May, the official Weibo of Lakeside University was renamed as "Lakeside Innovation and Research Center"; On May 7th, for the name change, Lakeside responded that Lakeside was a private non-unit registered in the civil affairs department since its inception, which did not belong to the academic education sequence. In order to avoid misunderstanding, it was renamed as "Zhejiang Lakeside Entrepreneurship Research Center", referred to as "Lakeside Innovation Research Center".
