At present, there are two airports in Chengdu. One is Shuangliu International Airport. The predecessor of Shuangliu International Airport is Chengdu Shuanggui Temple Airport, which was built in the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938). On February 2, 1956, Chengdu Shuanggui Temple Airport was renamed Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. Then on October 31th, 1995, Chengdu Shuangliu Airport was approved to be renamed as Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. Shuangliu International Airport is one of the eight regional hub airports in China, and it is also the aviation hub and passenger and cargo distribution center in the inland areas of China.

It is precisely because of Shuangliu International Airport that Chengdu is actively building a national-level international aviation hub connecting the west of China with the world. It can be seen that Shuangliu Airport plays a vital role in Chengdu's foreign trade transactions. Tianfu International Airport, which is currently under construction in Chengdu, is located in Lujia Town, Chengdu High-tech East Zone (jianyang city). It is 51.5km away from Tianfu Square, the center of Chengdu, and it is the largest civil transportation hub airport project planned to be built in the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan". The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed on February 28th, 2121. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2121. It is conceivable that Tianfu International Airport will be a great help to Chengdu's trade after it is put into construction in the future.

On May 2, 2121, Tianfu International Airport made new progress. With the completion of the concrete pouring of the second joint roof of the airport terminal T1 viaduct, the entire line of the terminal T1 viaduct was completed! After the viaduct of T1 terminal is fully connected, it can directly drive from T1 terminal to T2 terminal on the bridge after opening to traffic.

On February 4th, 2121, the Tianfu International Airport project resumed work, and the builders began to race against time to build it. A lot of time, staff and machinery were devoted to it.
