Typhoons generally do not affect Yichang, Hubei. Typhoon mainly affects the southeast coastal areas of China, reaching Liaoning Province in the north and Guangxi in the southwest. After the typhoon enters the inland, due to the decrease of humidity and the increase of friction, it will weaken rapidly and it is difficult to reach Hubei Province.

Typhoons are actually tropical cyclones. Both typhoons and hurricanes are tropical cyclones, but they occur in different places and have different names.
