Placement order of western food cups
There are so many western tableware that I feel dizzy at first sight, unlike eating a pair of chopsticks and a bowl for Chinese food. When holding a dinner party, the setting of the dining table is a very important link. For formal and informal parties, the layout of the dining table also has different requirements and layout characteristics. Master the basic points of table layout, whether arranging a banquet or going to a party, you can put it away freely and not be at a loss.

1, formal dinner

Step 2 avoid confusion

Generally speaking, there should be no more than three tableware on each side of the plate. For a formal dinner, there are many dishes, and the tableware is usually set at one time.

Plate: put the largest tray first, then the main course tray, and the appetizer tray on it. The tray for buttered bread should be placed at the top left 10, and the butter spatula should be placed slightly obliquely on the tray.

Footgear: Footgear should be placed at the position of 1 point on the right. On the far left is a cup filled with white water; Next is the red wine glass; Then the white wine glasses. The legs and body of a white wine glass are relatively long, so you should hold the legs when drinking.

Tableware: Tableware such as knives and forks should be put last. The knife is placed on the right side of the plate about 1 inch (about 2.5 cm), followed by the spoon, and the fruit spoon is placed on the right side of the spoon if necessary. Then put the fork on the left of the plate about 1 inch, then put the salad fork on the left of the fork, and put the small fork on the left if you need to eat fish. The dessert fork and spoon can be placed directly above the plate at 12 o'clock, or before the dessert is served.

3. Informal dinner

In an informal dinner, the tableware can be set at one time, or the corresponding tableware can be set every time a dish is served. The picture above shows a three-course meal with the standard arrangement of tableware. Remember the principle of "from outside to inside", all flat tableware should be placed next to the corresponding plate.

Plate: In an informal dinner, a main course tray is usually enough, and the plate should be placed about 1 inch from the edge of the table. If the first course is soup or salad, just add a smaller plate to the main course tray.

Tableware with legs: If the dining table is spacious and not crowded, you can put the tableware with legs in any position you like, such as parallel to the edge of the table or diagonally on the dining table. The base can be placed on the right 1 point, and the water cup is placed on the upper left, followed by the wine glass (such as wine glass).

Flat tableware: the knife should also be placed on the right side of the plate, and then a spoon should be placed on the right side. The fork is on the left side of the plate. If an appetizer (such as salad) is prepared, the tableware you need is also ready.

Note: whether it is a formal or informal dinner, napkins can be placed on the plate, on the left side of the tableware, or in a vessel with legs.
