Bai Juyi spent eighteen spring and autumn years in Luoyang, the eastern capital, and was buried on the Pipa Peak in Dongshan, Longmen after his death. Descendants thrive in Luoyang. Bai descendants are proud of their ancestors' achievements, and there are many legends and stories circulating, which are magical, confusing, vivid and touching, fully embodying the infinite respect and love of Bai descendants for their ancestors. ?
First, the deer leads the way.
At the end of the yuan dynasty, the flood hit the central plains, lost power, and Luoyang was in chaos. There are more than 100 Bai people who fled to other places to avoid chaos, and most of them did not come back. In the thirty-second generation of Bai Juyi, Sun and Bai Chao fled to the west to avoid the mutiny and lived in the north gate of Yiyang City. Hongwu's fourteen-year orientation. Gong Jie moved to Nanzhuang and Luocheng, while Gong Chao lived in a suitable city. After returning to Luo, the first thing I did was to go to Xiangshan to worship my ancestors. Sacrifices were prepared at home, and a group of more than ten people crossed the Yi River. The boatman heard the news and came to ferry. Gong Jie offered money, but the boatman quickly declined: "We can't accept it, we can't accept it. If the Bai ancestors hadn't dug eight beaches, we would have pushed the boat into the water! "
Due to years of war, Bai Gong's tombstone was destroyed. Weeds are overgrown around Pipa Peak. Gong Jie and others have gone through many twists and turns, but they still haven't found the first one. Gong Jie thought, "Can't my white grandchildren worship their ancestors from now on?" Suddenly, a yellow deer appeared in front of everyone. Gong Jie said to everyone, "It must be an ancestor, and the deer leads the way." So, everyone followed the deer to the cemetery, and the deer disappeared. Gong Jie and others really found the remains of the white cemetery in the grass. Gong Jie and others saw that Zu Ti was so mutilated that they burst into tears and decided to rebuild the White Cemetery. After two years of careful planning, the Bai cemetery was rebuilt in the spring of the sixteenth year of Ming Hongwu, and the Bai genealogy was compiled into a book, so that the Bai genealogy was not interrupted. Up to now, the descendants of the Bai family are famous for repairing tombs, building stones and continuing to repair genealogy.
Second, the general worship of the grave.
During the Republic of China, Wu, a great warlord, lived in Luoyang and bullied his superiors and deluded his subordinates. General Feng Yuxiang was ordered to crusade. After three days of siege, the soldiers were still unable to attack, seriously injured and their morale was in chaos. General Feng's heart is burning with anger. That night, he inspected the military situation In the moonlight, he found the tomb of Bai Gong and ordered his followers to step down and pay homage to Bai Lingyuan. After knocking at the door, he looked up and said, "The poet is in the spirit of heaven. If you bless me to conquer Luoyang smoothly, it will be your grave. " After General Feng visited the grave, he organized a siege the next day. Sure enough, Luoyang was conquered in one fell swoop. Wu Jun is losing ground, and Wu will be driven out of Luoyang.
After the celebration dinner, General Feng continued his Western Expedition. Being busy with military affairs, he forgot to repair the tomb. When traveling to Tongguan, Shaanxi, a white-haired old man suddenly fell from the sky and stopped the general's horse. The general asked, "Which fairy is in the way?" The old man asked, "Do you still remember the battle of Luoyang and the promise to the old man before Pipa Peak?" General Feng woke up like a dream and immediately dismounted and said, "Please come back. I will return to Luo Xiu's tomb in three days. " As soon as General Feng's voice fell, the old man had quietly disappeared. General Feng Yuxiang quickly returned to his war horse and Luoyang, and made a special trip to repair the White Cemetery. When repairing the tomb, he was surprised to find that Pipa Peak is a stony mountain, and there is only one natural cave to bury Bai Gong. He exclaimed, "What a Jedi!" Since then, General Feng Yuxiang's worship of Bai Wen cemetery has become a much-told story among Luoyang people!
Third, Bai Mudan.
In front of the white cemetery, there is a peony pond with all kinds of Bai Mudan. When it is in full bloom, it is as bright as jade. It is said that this was a deliberate arrangement of Bai Gong before his death.
Legend has it that a gust of wind blew somewhere in the first year of the Tang Dynasty: "Red peony is rich and Bai Mudan is unlucky." At that time, Bai Mudan was pinched off one by one, and some flower farmers simply uprooted Bai Mudan and trampled on it at will. At this time, Bai Gong died of illness and resigned for three years, returning to the DPRK for the first time. He was appointed as the doctor of Prince Zuo Zanshan, and his ambition of "saving the world" could not be realized, which was very distressing. Seeing that Bai Mudan was left out in the cold, he thought of his own scenery and recited a poem: "White flowers are cold and unloved, also known as peony. It should be like Bai Zanshan in the East Palace, also called a court official. " Bai Gong pitied Bai Mudan, who collected the abandoned Bai Mudan. "People suspected that I was exclusive and transplanted it to the atrium." From then on, the White House only planted Bai Mudan, and lived in Luoyang Road in his later years. The Bai Mudan planted was all jade. This winter, Bai Mudan in the White House suddenly opened, competing with Snow White, and the flowers were surprisingly large. Bai Gong invited relatives and friends and members of the "Nine Old People's Association" to enjoy flowers, which caused a sensation in Luoyang. After the flower viewing, the people held a banquet to entertain the guests and bid farewell to their homes. Suddenly, they saw a group of beautiful girls wearing jade flowers in white, dancing in front of him, and singing loudly: "The west is unique, the people are peonies, and the moon is full of laurel trees ..." When Bai Gong woke up, he was overjoyed. On his deathbed, he knew that Bai Mudan was the real "peony fairy" and told his family to plant Bai Mudan on his grave.
Four, one white and two surnames.
Among the descendants of Heluobai, the most popular one is "one white and two surnames", or "the distinction between stone and white". That is, some of the white surnames in Luoyang area were "Shi Jingtang" and then multiplied. The "white" surname with white characters output is Baishi, and the "white" surname without output is the descendant of authentic Bai Juyi.
According to legend, Bai Juyi and Shi Jingtang served the monarch in the same dynasty. On one occasion, "Shi Jingtang" played chess with the emperor and queen, and a gust of wind blew and the chess pieces were scattered all over the floor. When "Shi Jingtang" picked up the chess piece, he accidentally touched the queen's foot. The queen cried and told the emperor that the emperor was furious and sent a message: "Shi Jingtang, a sinner who molested the queen, wants to destroy the nine families." When Bai Gong found out the truth, he hurried to the temple to see the emperor. When the emperor saw Bai Juyi playing a book, he wrote a poem: "Dare to touch the feet of the empress. Juyi came to play, why? " In the face of the emperor's questioning, Bai Gong also replied with a poem: "It's not that the stone is bold, it's not that he wants to do evil. The wind blew the chess piece down and accidentally touched the queen's foot. " Although Bai Juyi tried his best to protect the capital, "Shi Jingtang" still did not escape the bad luck of destroying nine families. Some stone surnames obliterated the word "stone" written by Zu Ti, and really changed the word "stone" into "white" in the word "mouth", thus escaping the pursuit of the court. These "stone" surnames have also been passed down from generation to generation and changed into white surnames.
This legend is really absurd, because Shi Jingtang was born in the late Jin Dynasty, more than one hundred years later than the Tang Dynasty, where Bai Gong lived, and he could not serve the king in the same dynasty. This story reflects from another angle that Bai Gong dared to speak frankly in court. This is the intention of the person who made up this story!
According to legend, in ancient times, there was a vast lake in the south of Luoyang, surrounded by green mountains and grass. People graze in the mountains, fish in the lakes and live a quiet life. There is a hardworking child in the village who goes to the mountains to herd sheep every day. He often hears the strange sound of "I can't open it" coming from underground. When he got home, he told his mother about it. Mom thought about it and told him that if she heard it again, she would answer, "Open!" " "Who knows, the sky were to fall, Longmenshan split from the middle, and the surging lake water gushed from the gap, roaring around Luoyang City and flowing to the East China Sea. After the water flows, countless clear springs gush out from the cliff stones, which are stored as fragrant pools and shed into waterfalls. There are countless honeycomb caves on the cliffs of the two mountains. There are stone statues everywhere in the grottoes, some with thin eyes and some with unclear outlines, which are very spectacular. Since then, Longmen Grottoes have become famous all over the world.
It is said that Peony was exiled to Luoyang City by Wu Zetian, and then took root in the beautiful Mangshan Mountain. At the end of next spring, peony flowers are everywhere in the ravines and fields, attracting thousands of people to gather in Luoyang, the ancient capital, and the whole city is watching.
Wu Zetian was very unhappy when she heard that Peony was demoted to Mangshan, and bloom was so huge. So I came to Mangshan in a gorgeous Phoenix chariot. Looking up, Mangshan Mountain has simply become an ocean of flowers. Peony in various postures shows its strength to the noble queen, proudly blooming and charming, and the queen immediately leaves angrily.
Back to the palace, Wu Zetian recruited military commanders in the DPRK and ordered them to lead the officers and men to Mangshan as soon as possible. This time, the peony will be uprooted and burned, so it will be extinct, and there will be no trees left!
The head of the officers and men, surnamed Zhu Mingtou, immediately led his minions to Mangshan. They drove away the tourists and set up guards. Soon, peonies piled up like hills, covering the whole ridge. Just as the officers and men set fire to the peony, a strong wind blew over. The strong wind blew out the torches in the hands of officers and men, and the blown sand fascinated their eyes, and the gravel fell on the heads of officers and men. The strong wind passed, and the officers and men were caught off guard. All the peonies were blown away by the strong wind. Strange to say, this peony seems to have wings and flies everywhere. Zhu Tou led his minions and chased them around until dusk, but he didn't catch a peony. It turned out that peonies flew to the homes of ordinary people, and the people hid them.
The next day, Pig ordered people to hand over peony. The house-to-house search began, and the whole village was furious with these officers and men. Due to the arrogance of officers and men, many peony flowers were found.
It is said that at the foot of Mangshan Mountain, there lived a beautiful girl named Chunhong. Her parents died when she was young, and she grew up with the help of her neighbors. For example, she is 18 years old and grows up like a flower. Since Wu Zetian banished peony to Luoyang, the girl has forged an indissoluble bond with peony, and she loves peony more than her own life. This girl has a lover named Guisheng, a clever young man with two thick eyebrows like swords and a face flushed by the sun, which looks very strong. Guisheng and Chunhong grew up together, and they had no guess, so Guisheng naturally cherished this feeling and took care of Chunhong in every possible way. Under the influence of spring red, Guisheng is good at planting peony. They planted many kinds of peonies with bright colors, and were called "the king of peonies" locally.
Now they are heartbroken to see Wu Zetian send someone to burn peony. In order to protect peony, they decided to hide it in the cellar. In this way, the two men were busy from morning till night, and most of the peonies were hidden by them. Only the peony planted in the backyard could not be hidden, and the officers and men had already searched here.
As soon as Zhu Tou led a group of officers and men to Chunhong's girl's house, they rummaged through everything. No matter how your life was stopped, the robbers still bared their teeth, and the yard that was just neat suddenly made trouble. At this time, Chunhong is hiding behind the big stone in the backyard to listen to the movement. Finally, the officers and men broke into the backyard. Pig head is a famous old goat. When he saw such a beautiful girl hiding in the backyard, his eyes immediately straightened and he couldn't say a word. In an instant, greed began to rise, wanting to possess the spring red girl. I saw him slowly approaching Chunhong girl, grinning and saying, "Girl, it's pathetic to see you living alone. Why don't I take you as my concubine and enjoy endless wealth? "
Chunhong was angry with Zhu's behavior, but now she is even more indignant. She scolded Zhu: "You want me to marry you, unless the sun rises in the west and the river flows back, gouging your heart and cutting your head off!" " Hearing this, the pig head said angrily, "Somebody, tie her up for me and dig out all the peonies in the yard and burn them!" " "In the process of fighting with the officers and men, Guisheng was beaten unconscious and his face was bleeding. Watching the beloved person being beaten and the peony in the courtyard being plundered. Chunhong reluctantly said to Guisheng, who fainted to the ground, "Brother Guisheng, I went. You must protect the peony in Luoyang!" After that, I bumped into a stone and blood splashed on the peony flowers in the yard, and the flowers immediately turned purple. Seeing this situation, Zhu Tou was afraid of adding branches and leaves, and hurriedly ordered the officers and men to dig out the peony in the courtyard. However, as soon as the officers and men approached the peony, the peony immediately shone brightly, dazzling the soldiers. Finally, none of the peony trees in the yard were damaged, even the peony trees found before were gone.
Helpless, the pig head went back to life. Wu Zetian was very surprised after listening to the report of the officers and men. She also admired Miss Chunhong's courage. She sighed: "It seems that it is God's will and public opinion for peony to breed in Luoyang." Since then, peony has taken root and sprouted in Luoyang.
Besides, Guisheng saw his beloved girl die to protect peony and wanted to end her life, thinking of Chunhong's last words. He made up his mind to keep company with peony, and he cultivated peony splashed with his sweetheart's blood. Slowly, the streets and fields of Luoyang were all planted with this peony, and Guisheng became a well-known gardener. People named this kind of peony "bone-burning red peony" to commemorate the girl Chunhong and the unshakable determination of Luoyang people to protect peony. Later, after careful cultivation, this peony became more and more red, and it was changed to the present "Luoyang Red".
There is a Jinshui River on Mangshan Mountain in the north of Luoyang. The source of this river is located in Xin 'an County, with Ma Yang Reservoir and Wang Shun Temple Reservoir in the upstream and Jinshuihe Reservoir in the downstream. They are like pearls strung together by a silver line. All the reservoir areas have formed a summer resort with clear water and lush trees.
Why is Jinshui River named?
Legend has it that in the early years, a single old man named Liu Yi lived by the official road beside the Jinshui River and made a living by running a restaurant. The old man is kind and fair to others. When you meet someone who can't afford the meal in the shop, he never gives up, and often gives the money he has saved to the poor in the nearby village. Therefore, people in Fiona Fang respect the elderly. Every day, the old man has to run a long way to get water from the mountain spring, because spring water is cleaner and sweeter than river water. The old man said, "Treat others with sincerity, and your heart will be peaceful."
On March 23, 2008, the old man got up early and came to the fountain. Suddenly he heard a voice. Looking around, in the morning, the mountain was empty. The old man thought it was one of his old ears, but he made a mistake, so he put down the bucket to scoop water. As soon as he bent down, his voice became clearer, which came from the spring: "Liu Laohan is sincere and praised by all the neighbors in his hometown;" Come to my mouth to get the gold ingot on March 23rd every year. "The old man was dazed and thought: Are there really gods and ghosts in the world? Surprised, the spring gushed out a bubble, and the bubble rose to the end, revealing a piece of gold in Huang Cancan below.
The old man picked up the gold and went down the mountain with the spring water. He thought as he walked. This piece of gold came because I am sincere and kind to others, and I can't take it alone! So he still used gold to help the poor.
From then on, year after year, every year on March 23, the old man went to the spring to fetch water, and always picked up a gold ingot. The old man used the money to help the poor.
Liu Laohan is old. A passerby named Wang Gan saw the old man giving food and clothing to the poor, thinking that the old man must have saved a lot of money, so he turned away and took the initiative to stay and wait on the old man, saying that the old man was kind and willing to die for him. Before he died, the old man solemnly told the king the secret of spitting gold ingots from the fountain of greed, and warned: "Give more and give less, and don't force it;" Platinum cannot be enjoyed exclusively, but should be given to the poor. "
After Wang greedy buried the old man, he was still wondering until March 23, picking up a bucket and running to the fountain. Sure enough, with the blisters, the spring spit out a gold ingot. Wang greedy hand out, mouth surprised to laugh out of the ear. He thought that only one gold ingot would be spit out every year this spring. How many years will it take? He went down the mountain to get a spade and a spade and dug against the spring. What I dug was a gold ingot. The bigger the hole, the more gold you dig. Then all the gold nuggets were reflected in the water! Wang greedily jumped into the water to look for gold nuggets, but as soon as he entered, the spring swelled violently and turned into a river, which washed Wang greedily away.
After that, people can occasionally pick up some broken gold by the river. Of course, only people with good hearts have this blessing. Therefore, people call this river "Jinshui River".
Long, long ago, before the Longmen was cut, Yishui was blocked by Longmen Mountain, and a big lake was piled up to the south of the mountain.
Carps living in the Yellow River have heard that Longmen is beautiful and all want to go sightseeing. They set out from the Yellow River in Jin Meng, crossed the Luohe River, and followed the Yi River to the splashing place of Longmen, but there was no waterway on Longmen Mountain, so they had to gather at the foot of the North Longmen Mountain. "I have an idea. How about we skip this Longmen Mountain? " A red carp said to everyone. "How can you jump so high?" "If you don't jump well, you will fall to your death!" The partners are confused and can't make up their minds. The big line carp volunteered and said, "I'll try it first." I saw it exhausted all its strength from half a mile away, like an arrow that left the string, jumping into the clouds for a long time, driving the clouds and rain in the air forward. A mass of skyfire came from behind and burned its tail. It endured the pain, continued to leap forward, and finally crossed Longmen Mountain and fell into the lake in the south of Shannan. In a blink of an eye, it became a dragon. Seeing this, the carp in the north of the mountain are scared to shrink together and dare not take any more risks. At this moment, I suddenly saw a dragon descending from the sky and said, "Don't be afraid, I am your partner Red Carp, because I jumped over the Longmen and became a dragon. You have to jump bravely! " Hearing these words, the carp was encouraged and began to jump off the Longmen Mountain one by one. But except for a few who jumped into dragons, most of them couldn't get through. Anyone who can't jump over and fall from the air will have a black scar on his forehead. To this day, this black scar still grows on the head of the Yellow River carp.
Later, Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote a poem specifically for this matter: "The Yellow River three-foot carp originally lived in Jin Meng, but it didn't last long, and all the fish returned."
Luoyang folklore The legendary story of the goldfish in Longchi.
Among the eight scenic spots in Luoyang, there are "Longchi Goldfish" and Longchi, which are the Qinling Valley in the north of Qiu Yan Village, Xindian Township, a suburb today. This valley is called Longchigou, also known as Longtangou. It is a famous flower ditch in history, with fragrant peaches and plums in spring, lotus flowers in summer, wild chrysanthemums in autumn and wintersweet in winter. Deep in the valley, there is a deep pool with springs. Clear water gurgles down the valley all year round, making the flowers and trees in the ditch sparse and full of aura. This pool is called "Dragon Pool". There used to be five-color fish in the pool, red, white, yellow, blue and black, swimming around, colorful and amazing. The original Longtan Temple behind the pool, also known as Notre Dame de Kowloon, is magnificent, surrounded by green trees and beautiful scenery. What is hateful is that the Japanese invaders arrived at Luoshi, bombed the ancient temple and threw several grenades into Longtan, but even an innocent fish failed to escape. In recent years, the villagers rebuilt the deep pool, built a wall, stocked the small black crucian carp in the pool, and built a temple house next to the pool, which blocked the flowing pool water into a reservoir and made the village rich. Raising fish and releasing ducks in reservoirs has become a new landscape.
Speaking of fish in Longchi, that's evil! Why? It is said that year after year, no more, no less, forever 360, no old people die, no young people live, all the same length. The fish swam away, reflecting the sunlight scattered in the cracks of the trees, and the surface of the pool gave off colorful light. Everyone knows that these five-colored fish are gods, and whoever catches them will die, so for thousands of years, no one dares to hurt them. Where did the five-color fish come from? Speaking of it, it has something to do with the origin of the Virgin of Kowloon.
A long time ago, there was a family by Longchigou. The two of them went to the ditch to pick mushrooms. As they walked, my sister-in-law felt thirsty, so she came to the deep pool, brushed away the floating leaves on the water and drank two clear springs. The spring water is sweet and cold. When my sister-in-law smacked her mouth and stood up straight, she suddenly felt a stomachache, so she squatted down again and called her sister-in-law tightly. Sister-in-law came over and flew home when she saw that her sister-in-law was in labor. She asked her neighbors to call her family who were working in the fields, took her own swaddling clothes, brought a bowl of mixed bean soup cooked on the crock stove, and hurried back to the deep pool. When I got to the pool, I saw my sister-in-law lying on the ground with her stomach cracked and nine little dragons crawling on her. Sister-in-law let out a cry of fear and fainted. The crock was smashed by the pool and the bean soup flowed into the pool. When the bean enters the water, it becomes a swimming fish. Because there are five kinds of beans, the fish are divided into five colors. When my aunt's family arrived, I saw Hui Jin surrounded by a swimming pool. Is indecision, Hui Jin into several golden light, flew into the pool. When you look closely, only one sister-in-law fainted by the pool.
Later, people built a temple next to this pool, carved an icon of my sister-in-law, and carved nine dragons on the eaves and columns, honoring the statue as "Notre Dame de Kowloon", hence the name of the temple, also called "Longtan Temple".
The nine dragons born of the Virgin Mary have different personalities. According to Li Dongyang's Huai Lu Tang Ji, Dalong is called "prison cow", and joy is the beast carved on Hu Qin's head now; The second dragon is called "Jipi" and loves to fight. It is the "dragon swallowing mouth" on the hilt. The three dragons are called "mocking the wind" and are fond of danger, that is, the beast in the corner of the temple; The name of the four dragons is "Pulao", which means the animal button on the ancient clock. Five dragons, named "Sister-in-law", love to sit, that is, the lion on the Buddha's seat; Six dragons are called "overlord" and love to carry heavy burdens, commonly known as "old turtle" carrying stone tablets; The seven dragons are called "armadillos", which is a good lawsuit and has become the lion's head on the prison door of the old society; Eight dragons are good at writing, that is, the "dragon text" engraved on both sides of the stone tablet; Kowloon is known as the "Man Kiss" and loves to swallow, which is the first of the temple-spine beasts.
