In late May, the oilfield invited leaders and experts from China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute to listen to the introduction of oilfield exploration and development and constructive suggestions. The exploration and development task of Jidong Oilfield this year is very heavy, and it faces huge investment cost pressure. On March 20th, this oilfield held a mobilization meeting for the competition of "seizing oil to increase production, reducing costs and increasing efficiency", which subdivided the indicators such as output, cost, reserves, quality and safety, and signed labor competition agreements with various units and offices to mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties.
In order to ensure the completion of the established production target, five leaders in charge of Jidong Oilfield went to various oil production units to eat and live with the geological and engineering technicians of the oil production units, and worked together to find ways, ideas and measures to promote the smooth development of labor competition activities.

This oilfield has established the concept of efficient development with fewer wells, adhered to the principle of "overall deployment, batch implementation, follow-up analysis and timely adjustment", made a good description of the reservoir and potential analysis, constantly optimized the well location deployment scheme, ensured the drilling success rate and single well productivity, and greatly reduced the comprehensive cost of productivity construction.
Optimize the wellbore structure. The oilfield closely combines the production practice, insists on one well, one strategy and one well, and optimizes the well structure of each well. Increase the application of high-quality fast drilling technology such as steering drilling tools and PDC bits, which greatly improves the drilling speed and shortens the drilling cycle. Compared with the same period of last year, the monthly speed of land drilling rig increased by 50%, the penetration rate increased by 25% and the drilling cycle shortened by 26.5%.
