Hotels, also known as guest houses and hotels, are commercial organizations that provide security and comfort and allow users to have a short rest or sleep space.

The earliest hotels existed in the post station system established by the ancient government. Nowadays, hotels not only provide accommodation services for tourists, but also provide daily services and facilities (bedtime services), such as catering, games, entertainment, banquets, conferences and so on. Some hotels also provide value-added services, such as free use of mobile phones and limousines.

The hotel industry belongs to the service industry, which mainly sells intangible services rather than tangible products.
