On the afternoon of July 25, an explosion occurred at a restaurant at the mouth of Zhengjue Hutong in Xinjiekou, Xicheng District, Beijing, injuring four people.
An eyewitness said that at 1 p.m., he heard a loud explosion and then saw a number of diners running out of the second-floor store with blood streaming down their faces. Passer-by: "The glass of the vehicles parked on the roadside at that time was shattered, the glass of the store was even shattered all over, a lady passing by was covered in blood."
After the explosion, the fire department, safety supervision, street office, gas company and other departments came to the scene. At about 4 p.m., the gas company sent a truck to transport two gas tanks from the store. Xicheng District Propaganda Department said that the cause of the accident is due to improper operation of the restaurant staff caused by gas leakage and explosion, four people were injured, the injured are not life-threatening. At present, the store and the surrounding environment are cleaned up.
According to the Xicheng District Safety Supervision Bureau's latest briefing, July 25, 13:39, Xinjiekou South Street, No. 26, Fisherman's Block restaurant burst into flames. After a preliminary investigation at the scene, for the second floor of the restaurant back kitchen liquefied petroleum gas connected to the stove at the hose is loose, resulting in gas leakage. There is no fire area at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation. At present three people hospitalized, one person hospital observation, are not life-threatening.
