(3) Re-examination, admission and adjustment
● 1. Second interview
Postgraduate entrance examination is divided into two stages: initial examination and second examination. Re-examination is a further examination of candidates' professional level and practical ability on the basis of passing the initial examination. The specific provisions of the second interview qualification are as follows:
(1) After registering, counting, calculating and analyzing the candidates' preliminary test results, the admissions unit will draw up the re-examination standards according to the basic requirements and admission principles formulated by the Ministry of Education and the situation of the school (hospital or institute).
According to the determined re-examination criteria, the admissions unit provides the department (research room) with relevant information of candidates who meet the re-examination qualification and the information of candidates who are recommended to be exempted from the initial examination for outstanding undergraduate graduates. The department (research room) puts forward a re-examination list after careful study on the basis of soliciting the opinions of relevant instructors. Finally, the president of the school (hospital, institute) held a meeting to approve and determine the re-examination list.
The preliminary test results meet the basic requirements of the Ministry of Education for re-examination, and the candidates who are not re-examined by the enrollment unit will be transferred to the second voluntary unit. Candidates' materials that do not meet the re-examination requirements of the Ministry of Education shall not be forwarded to other enrollment units.
For individual candidates whose preliminary test results do not meet the basic requirements of the re-examination stipulated by the Ministry of Education, if the enrollment unit intends to conduct a re-examination, it shall be reported to the admissions office of the province (autonomous region, city) where it is located for approval. A small number of enrollment units are approved by the Ministry of Education and can be examined and approved by themselves.
Individual candidates (excluding candidates with the same academic level) who have excellent initial test results and have a good understanding of their course study, experimental skills and scientific research ability by the enrollment unit. And think that there is indeed a future for training, with the consent of the department, school (hospital, institute), you can not have a second interview.
Candidates with the same academic qualifications must have a comprehensive and strict re-examination, and strengthen the undergraduate main courses and experimental skills examinations, including no less than two written subjects.
(2) After the re-examination list is confirmed, the admissions unit should send a letter to the candidate's unit, adjust the personnel file and his actual performance and other materials, and comprehensively review his political situation.
(3) According to the retest list, notify the candidates to have a retest. Before the re-examination, the admissions unit should organize a re-examination team with instructors, and determine the re-examination contents, re-examination topics and re-examination forms according to the professional requirements and the specific conditions of candidates (generally speaking, oral, written or practical examinations are mainly conducted).
In addition, for cross-disciplinary students, some enrollment units have to try the comprehensive business examination during the second interview.
2. Re-examination requirements shall be determined by the Ministry of Education.
In recent years, the requirements for candidates to participate in the re-examination determined by the Ministry of Education are basically stable. The requirements for master students to participate in the re-examination are generally as follows: the minimum score of a single subject for fresh graduates is not less than 55, and the total score is not less than 320; On-the-job candidates should have a minimum score of 50 in a single subject and a total score of not less than 3 10; Minority candidates in minority autonomous regions have a total score of not less than 280 points. In addition, candidates who apply for junior college and local colleges in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi, as well as those who are entrusted back to their original units, are appropriately relaxed in the basic requirements for re-examination.
3. Several problems that should be paid attention to in the second interview.
The national unified entrance examination for postgraduate students is divided into initial examination and second examination. The initial test focuses on the examination of candidates' basic theory and knowledge, and the second test is a further examination of candidates who have reached the basic requirements in the initial test in terms of proficiency in comprehensive application of what they have learned, ability to analyze and solve problems, oral expression ability and practical skills, and knowledge defects exposed in the initial test. After the second interview, the candidates were comprehensively investigated morally, intellectually and physically. Therefore, whether you can successfully pass the second interview is an important part of the success of the postgraduate entrance examination.
To successfully pass the second interview, we should pay attention to the following points:
(1) The second interview is organized by each enrollment unit. Generally, the college affiliated to each enrollment unit organizes 3 ~ 5 tutors of this major or similar majors to form a re-examination team to re-examine the candidates. The re-examination method is also more flexible, and some may take a professional foreign language exam, allowing you to look up a dictionary to translate a professional foreign language article or a paragraph; Through the interview, you can know the degree of mastery of the current research situation of the major, the work and achievements you are engaged in now, what topics you will engage in after graduate school and your personal plans. You can also give a few questions for a simple written or oral test, and some may take practical assessment methods. Therefore, we should try to understand the ways and means of the second interview in advance, so as to have a good concept of the second interview. There are many ways to find the answer. You can find out how the graduate students of this major re-examined in the past. You can find out what should be prepared first from the instructor of this major. You can also ask the admissions office.
(2) It is best to go to the periodical reading room of the library to consult the authoritative periodicals of this major in recent years and understand the development direction, hot issues and main viewpoints of this major, which is very beneficial for participating in the second interview.
(3) By visiting the graduate students or teachers of this major, we can understand the major scientific research projects undertaken or completed by this major, understand the main research fields of teachers of this major, and especially carefully read their research papers published in authoritative journals, which may lead to unexpected results in the second interview.
(4) When taking part in the second interview, you should be serious, sincere and realistic in answering the questions raised by the teacher, and don't ask yourself questions that you don't understand or don't understand at all, because it reflects your attitude towards learning to some extent.
(5) Candidates with the same academic qualifications should add two or three undergraduate specialized courses to the written test during the second interview. Before taking part in the second interview, you should contact the research and recruitment office as soon as possible to find out what courses are available for the second interview, so as to make a good review reference and prepare for the review as soon as possible.
4. Abnormal recheck
For candidates whose initial test scores do not meet the basic requirements of the re-examination, but their professional ability is strong and their professional achievements are relatively outstanding, but their total score or single subject scores are slightly lower than the requirements of the re-examination, if the enrollment unit intends to participate in the re-examination in an abnormal way, it should fill out the Application Form for Abnormal Re-examination, sign the opinions of the tutor and the enrollment unit, and report it to the Admissions Office of the higher education institution in the province (autonomous region, city) where it is located for examination and approval. Under normal circumstances, candidates who fill in the two choices are not allowed to re-test, and candidates whose total score and single subject scores are lower than the re-test requirements are not allowed to re-test.
● 5. How to adjust candidates who have reached the admission score of the Ministry of Education but have not been admitted to the first volunteer unit?
For candidates who meet the basic requirements of the Ministry of Education for re-examination, but cannot be admitted due to the limitation of training ability and enrollment plan, the enrollment unit should transfer all materials (including all application forms, examination questions and papers in various subjects) to the second voluntary unit in time. Candidates who have no second volunteer unit or can't be admitted by the second volunteer unit should report their test results to the adjustment center of the province (city, autonomous region) where they are located or be responsible for recommending them to other relevant units after obtaining the consent of the candidates.
The admissions unit shall not organize a second interview before receiving the materials of the transferred candidates.
6. When will the postgraduate re-examination notice and admission notice be issued?
The sending time of the notice shall be determined by the enrollment unit according to the situation of the unit. In recent years, the practice is generally to issue a re-examination notice in mid-April of that year; Re-examination around the end of April; The admission notice was issued in early July.
● 7. What are the rules for fresh graduates to come back to study after they have been admitted as masters?
Graduates who have obtained a master's degree can retain their admission qualifications. Generally, they can be assigned to work in units that need graduate students for a period of time, and then return to school as orientation students or entrusted students respectively in accordance with relevant regulations, and then return to their original units after graduation.
Students who voluntarily retain their admission qualifications can also be assigned to units that do not need graduate students on a voluntary basis, hoping to receive students who have retained their admission qualifications for a period of time before returning to school, and then assign jobs after graduation.
The identity and treatment of students who retain admission qualifications during the pre-admission of master students are the same as those of undergraduate graduates who participate in graduation distribution in the same session.
● 8. What are the rules for recommending new undergraduate graduates to enroll master students without examination?
Recommended exemption is a selection method that some colleges and universities approved by the Ministry of Education recommend a few outstanding undergraduate graduates according to a certain proportion (or index), and the enrollment unit agrees to confirm that they are exempt from the exam and directly participate in the re-examination, and those who pass the exam are admitted as master students. The establishment of recommendation exemption is to correctly guide the majority of undergraduates to study undergraduate courses seriously and comprehensively, and at the same time avoid excellent candidates (especially those with certain expertise) from losing the opportunity to continue their studies because of an exam mistake.
The proportion or index recommended by colleges and universities is directly issued by the Ministry of Education. The amount is: the recommended students of colleges and universities that set up graduate schools are generally about 5% of fresh graduates, while those of other schools are generally about 2%. The recommended standards and measures shall be determined by the relevant institutions of higher learning according to the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Education and local education authorities. The recommendation form must be posted on campus. The recommendation work is generally the responsibility of the undergraduate teaching or student work management departments (such as the Academic Affairs Office and the Student Affairs Office), and the postgraduate work cooperates with other departments. Graduate department of each school is responsible for recommending exemption.
All graduate enrollment units can accept recommended students without examination, but a certain number of places must be reserved for public application. Students who are recommended for exemption should go through the registration formalities at the registration point designated by the provincial (autonomous regions and municipalities) college admissions office within the registration time stipulated by the state.
It was in 1985 that colleges and universities began to recommend a few outstanding undergraduate students as master students without examination. The specific provisions and basic steps of this work are as follows:
(1) The principle of comprehensive evaluation and quality assurance should be implemented in the recommendation work. The recommended students should adhere to the four cardinal principles, have good moral character, abide by the law, be determined to serve the socialist modernization, have excellent academic performance, and have the quality of being trained as graduate students. In the recommendation work, we should not only pay attention to the assessment of the recommended students' political ideology and moral quality, but also pay attention to their academic performance, learning ability, innovative spirit and professional expertise over the years, so as to avoid the recommendation work simply queuing according to scores. In order to ensure the professional quality of the recommended students, the school can also conduct necessary examinations (assessments).
(2) Colleges and universities set up a leading group for recommendation work, and according to the allocation quota and relevant regulations issued by the competent department, combined with the actual situation of various disciplines and majors in our school, formulate practical and specific recommendation methods, determine the recommendation list and post it on campus.
(3) After the recommendation list is confirmed, students can go to the designated place in the university office of the province (city, autonomous region) where the school is located on the specified date with the letter of introduction from our school, go through the registration formalities, and receive the recommendation form and physical examination form. Recommended students are free to choose two volunteer applicants.
(4) In order to strengthen inter-school communication and promote the development of the school, colleges and universities that recruit graduate students should actively encourage and recommend students to report to other schools or scientific research institutions.
(five) the recommended schools recommend students for physical examination, and send the recommendation form and the required physical examination form to the first voluntary unit selected by the students before the specified date.
(6) Admissions units that receive recommended students generally conduct examinations (assessments) according to the recommended students. The examination (assessment) method is determined by the admissions unit. In the admission, we should adhere to the principles of comprehensive evaluation of morality, intelligence and physique, merit-based admission, quality and quantity, and quality-oriented.
(7) If the recommended student's first voluntary application unit refuses to accept the examination (assessment), or it is unacceptable due to the limitation of the enrollment quota of disciplines and majors, the relevant materials of the recommended student should be returned to the original recommended school before the specified date, and the school will inform me.
(8) Each enrollment unit can only select and enroll students recommended by the school, and may not recruit other fresh graduates. For the fresh graduates who have been admitted, the admissions unit may cancel their admission qualifications if it finds that they do not meet the admission conditions before entering the school.
(9) Recommended students can be encouraged to retain their admission qualifications after being admitted by the admissions unit, and be assigned to work in the work unit for one to three years before entering the school.
