According to legend, when the Eight Immortals crossed the sea, they rested around a wide stone on this mountain, so they were called the Eight Immortals Table. Geographical location: 40 degrees north latitude 1 1 min-east longitude17 degrees 32 minutes-17 degrees 34 minutes. It is located in the north of Xiaogang Township in Jixian County, about 1.2km east of Taipinggou, and 55km northeast of the county seat. Including Baxianzhuo Mountain, Heishui River, Limutai, Yang Lou, Taipinggou and Changzhou Village. It is bounded by Shidonggou Valley in the northeast, Limutai in the northwest corner, Heishui River in the south and Changzhou Village in the west, bordering on the geological profile of the Middle-Upper Proterozoic, with an area of 1.666 hectares. The exposed stratum is grayish white Shi Ying sandstone in the first member of Changzhougou Formation of Mesoproterozoic Great Wall System, with monoclinic structure and strata inclined southwest. The soil type is mountainous brown soil, which is deep and suitable for forestry development. The vegetation types are Castanopsis fargesii, Zhaoshanbai, Leymus chinensis deciduous broad Ye Qun, Evodia rutaecarpa, Betula platyphylla and Fraxinus macrophylla communities. The Eight Immortals Table is located in the table forest area south of the Eight Immortals. The Eight Immortals Zhuozi Forest Area is a complete broad-leaved secondary forest area first discovered in northern China. The forest area is 4 16 1 hectare and the vegetation coverage rate is as high as 80%. It plays a special role in protecting the upstream water source of Yuqiao Reservoir, reducing soil erosion and maintaining the natural ecological balance. The mountains are rich in exotic flowers, various trees and shrubs, and rich in Chinese herbal medicines, wild animals and rare birds. The forest area is rich in kiwifruit, as well as the endemic plant "Hydrangea Dongling" in North China and the national third-class protected plant "Juglans mandshurica". Baxianzhuozi Forest Ecological Reserve is a rare broad-leaved forest ecosystem in northern China. 1984, Tianjin Municipal People's Government officially approved the establishment of the Eight Immortals Table Forest Ecological Nature Reserve. According to statistics, there are more than 60 families and more than 300 kinds of valuable things here, many of which belong to national key protected plants, from lower plants such as moss, lichen and fern to vines, shrubs and trees. The main tree species are Pinaceae, Quercus, Aceraceae, etc. 100. Many species are related in tropical and subtropical regions, such as Rhus chinensis, Evodia rutaecarpa and Phellodendron amurense.
