Gyms belong to public places of entertainment.

Public places of entertainment refer to the following indoor places open to the public:

(a) theaters, video halls, auditoriums and other places of performance and projection;

(2) Song and dance entertainment places such as song and dance halls and karaoke halls;

(three) nightclubs, music cafes and restaurants with entertainment functions.

From the perspective of building fire prevention, they do not belong to the "song and dance entertainment places" mentioned in Article 5.4.9 of the Building Regulations. Their safe evacuation, plane layout, fire separation, etc. Chapters 5.4 and 5.5 of the building code do not need to be implemented.
