In my opinion, Beijing is a city of culinary desert. Although Beijing is the capital of China, its level of cuisine is far inferior to that of cities such as Shanghai and Guangzhou. It's hard to find satisfying cuisine in Beijing, except for roast duck and fried noodles. Even for roast duck and fried noodles, there are only a few stores that can reach a real level of flavor, while the others are only average.
Additionally, Beijing's dining environment is plagued with problems. First, there is the problem of hygiene, which is not good enough in many small restaurants, causing a lot of inconvenience to customers. Second is the service problem, many stores are not good enough to make people feel uncomfortable. The last is the price problem, Beijing's food and beverage prices are generally high, making people feel worthless.
Overall, Beijing is a city of culinary deserts and needs more energy and investment to improve its cuisine. We hope that in the future, Beijing's food culture will develop better and become a real food capital.
