Dongguan City Sewage Treatment Plant is located in Zhou Wang, shigu village, Chengnan District. It is the largest state-owned sewage treatment plant in Dongguan, with a designed treatment capacity of 200,000 tons of domestic sewage per day. Covering an area of 154200 square meters, the total length of the sewage interception main pipe is 14.77Km, and the pipe diameter ranges from D 1400mm to D2600mm；; Water intake range: all domestic sewage in Guancheng District, Chengnan District, southern group of Wanjiang District and Dongcheng District (except Niu Shan District, Sangyuan District, Wu Zhou District and Wentang District); The service area is 62.95 square kilometers, and the service area is 499,600 people. Maintenance of Xinji sewage pumping station, Shaanxi River sewage pumping station and pipe network outside the jurisdiction.

The total estimated investment of the first and second phases of the sewage treatment plant is 600 million yuan, including 200 million yuan for the plant and 400 million yuan for the pipe network. The project is completed in two stages. The first phase of the project started in September 2006 and put into trial operation in June 2002. Anaerobic-oxidation ditch process (A/O process) is adopted, and the treatment capacity is 654.38+10,000 tons/day. The second phase of the project started in September 2003 and was put into trial operation on August 28, 2004. The anoxic and anaerobic oxidation ditch process (A2/O process) is adopted, and the treatment capacity is 654.38 million tons/day.

The tail water treated by Dongguan Sewage Treatment Plant is routinely sampled and tested by Dongguan Environmental Protection Monitoring Station, and the water quality meets the national first-class B standard of Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Urban Sewage Treatment (GB 189 18-2002).
