The Central Party School has a Department of Marxist Theory, a Department of Philosophy, a Department of Economics, a Department of Scientific Socialism, a Department of Politics and Law, a Department of Party History, a Department of Party Building, a Department of Literature and History, and an Institute for International Strategic Studies (IISS). The Academic Affairs Department is responsible for coordinating the teaching work of the whole school. The Academic Affairs Department is a comprehensive functional department responsible for the teaching management of the whole school under the leadership of the School Committee of the Central Party School. Its main duties include enrollment and registration management of the main classes, teaching design and organization, teaching security and distance learning, discipline construction, teaching materials construction and branch teaching, etc. It also includes conducting teaching research and promoting teaching reform. Chinese Marxist Research Foundation (acting on behalf of). Department of Academic Affairs

Compiles teaching plans for the whole university and all branches, manages and coordinates teaching activities, enrolls students and manages the student registry; it is responsible for organizing the preparation of teaching syllabi and the validation of teaching materials; it reflects the teaching situation, researches and puts forward proposals for teaching reforms; and conducts research into the laws of education in the Party Schools.

There are five divisions: the Education and Research Office of the Party School, the Enrollment Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Teaching Materials Office, and the Branch Office.

Scientific Research Department

Compiles scientific research planning for the whole university, manages and coordinates scientific research activities, manages scientific research files and scientific research funds; is responsible for the management of the Research Center for Socialist Theory System with Chinese Characteristics in the Party School of the Central Committee; organizes the evaluation and publicity of scientific research results, provides scientific research information and consultation; organizes scientific research collaboration in the party school system; is responsible for the management of all the university associations and organizations.

Department of Teaching and Research in Marxist Theory

The department is responsible for teaching, research, degree and graduate training, and teaching materials construction related to the discipline of Marxist Theory.

There are five teaching and research departments, namely, the Department of Basic Principles of Marxism, the Department of the History of Marxism, the Department of the Study of the Chineseization of Marxism, the Department of the Study of Foreign Marxism, and the Department of Ideological and Political Education.

Department of Philosophy

Responsible for teaching and research in the disciplines of Marxist Philosophy, Philosophy of Science and Technology and Modern Science and Technology, History of Chinese and Foreign Philosophy, Strategy, and Ethics; writing textbooks for the discipline; and training doctoral and master's degree students in the discipline.

Responsible for teaching and research in the disciplines of Marxist Party Doctrine, Party Construction Theory, Party Leadership and Leadership Science, History of Party Doctrine, Party System, and Comparison of the World's Political Parties; compiling textbooks for the discipline; and training doctoral and master's degree students in the discipline.

Department of Literature and History

Responsible for teaching and research in the disciplines of Marxist Cultural Theory, Socialist Cultural Construction, Language and Literature, Chinese History, and World History; teaching foreign languages to doctoral and master's degree students and physical education to all students of the university; writing textbooks for the discipline; and training doctoral and master's degree students in the discipline.

Institute of International Strategic Studies

Responsible for teaching and research in the disciplines of international politics, world economy, China's foreign policy, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan issues; writing textbooks for this discipline; training doctoral and master's degree students in this discipline.

There are five teaching and research laboratories: International Politics Research Laboratory, World Economy Research Laboratory, Contemporary World Thought Research Laboratory, China's Foreign Affairs Research Laboratory, and International Relations, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Research Laboratory.

Research Office

Responsible for the research and utilization of ideological and theoretical information of trainees and teachers in the Party school system, assisting the school leaders in organizing and participating in the special research on major real-life issues at home and abroad and the writing of important articles, assuming the responsibility of drafting important manuscripts of the school committee, undertaking the organization of propaganda outside the school, hosting the "Ideological and Theoretical Internal References", and compiling the "Yearbook of the Party School".

Department of Continuing Education

Organizes and implements the rotational training of leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial levels, major leading cadres at the local department (bureau) level, county (city) committee secretaries, and party secretaries of large enterprises; and undertakes matters related to high-level seminars and thematic research courses.

Library

Responsible for the collection, organization and development of literature and information, and the provision of information services; manages the Central Party School and the digital library literature and information resources of the Party School system and the network system.

Organization Department

Responsible for the recruitment, deployment, assessment, rewards and punishments of cadres in the school, appointment and dismissal, professional and technical job evaluation, training, wages and benefits, retirement and personnel management of the workforce, the school's establishment management, the school's expert management; responsible for the review of personnel leaving the country, and so on.

Financial and Administrative Management Bureau

Responsible for the comprehensive management of the logistics of the whole university, i.e., the comprehensive management of campus planning, infrastructure, finance, audit, state-owned assets and other affairs of logistics.

The Department of Continuing Education of the Central Party School is a student management organization under the leadership of the School Committee of the Central Party School, and is responsible for the rotational training of senior and middle-ranking leading cadres. The predecessor of the Central Party School Further Training Department was a part of the Marx and Lenin College, which was named the first part of the Central Party School in 1977 when the school was reopened, and was renamed in August 1983 as the Further Training Department of the Central Party School.

The Department of Continuing Education is responsible for the service and management of the special classes for provincial and ministerial-level leading cadres, the refresher courses for provincial and ministerial-level cadres, the refresher courses for local and municipal cadres, the refresher courses for local and municipal party and government leading cadres, the training courses for county party secretaries, and the service management of the various classes for the Central Committee for Discipline Inspection and the Central Organizations Department and the Central Propaganda Department of the Central Committee, the Central Committee, and other central government ministries, departments and organs of the state. Graduate School

The Graduate School of the Central Party School of the **** is the institution in charge of degree and postgraduate education under the leadership of the School Committee of the Central Party School, and is responsible for the enrollment of postgraduate students of master's degree and doctoral degree, the management of the student registries, the organization and management of the teaching, the awarding of degrees, and the guidance on employment, It is responsible for enrollment, registration management, teaching organization and management, degree conferment, employment guidance, administration, party affairs and ideological and political work, application for master's degree with the same academic ability and postdoctoral research stations, as well as operational guidance for the degree and postgraduate education of the provincial party schools of the whole country which belongs to the national education series. The main purpose is to cultivate high-level Marxist theoretical backbones and high-quality leaders for the Party and the country with a solid and broad Marxist theoretical foundation, systematic and in-depth professional knowledge, and the ability to independently engage in scientific research and policy studies. High-level specialists with a firm ****productivist ideal and belief in socialism with Chinese characteristics, a solid and broad Marxist theoretical foundation, systematic and in-depth professional knowledge, and the ability to independently conduct teaching, scientific research and policy research.

The predecessor of the Graduate School of the Central Party School was the Theory Department of the Central Party School. In 1981, with the consent of the State Planning Commission and the Ministry of Education, the Central Party School enrolled the first batch of degree students. The first batch of 28 master's degree students admitted through the national unified enrollment examination were trained in accordance with the national unified standard and in the way of tutorship, which accumulated initial experience for the degree graduate education of the Central Party School.In 1983, the Central Party School started to enroll master's degree students individually for the whole country, and 122 students were enrolled in the same year. At this stage, the Central Party School issued a joint enrollment notice by the Central Organization Department, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Party School, admitted students by separate examination according to the state regulations, and cultivated them in strict accordance with the standards stipulated in the degree postgraduates' education while highlighting the characteristics of the Party School from the actuality of the Party School.In 1984, after the second batch of approvals by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Central Party School was authorized to enroll postgraduates in the specialties of Marxist Philosophy, Political Economy, Political Science and Socialism. There are more than 700 teaching staff, including more than 500 with senior titles, 117 doctoral supervisors and 143 master's supervisors, and a group of famous domestic and foreign experts and scholars in philosophy and social sciences, as well as a group of young and middle-aged discipline leaders who have made outstanding contributions in teaching and research. As of July 2009, 2,457 degree students have graduated, among whom 811 have been awarded doctoral degrees and 1,646 master's degrees; 328 master's degrees have been awarded to equivalents, and there are nearly 600 degree students in the course of study.
