Chengdu Universiade venues have all met the conditions for hosting the games. The Chengdu Universiade will be held from June 26th to July 7th, 2122, with 49 competition and training venues distributed in 15 districts (cities) in Chengdu. March 8th is the countdown to the 31th Summer Universiade in Chengdu for 111 days. At the press conference held by the Ministry of Education on the same day, the relevant person in charge of the Chengdu Universiade Organizing Committee revealed that at present, all 49 competition venues have the conditions to host the games, and the operation teams such as the venue center of the competition area, the opening and closing ceremony operation center of the Universiade Village, and the main media center have all worked in the front line, the general competition schedule has been released, and all the directors of 18 competition events have been selected.

Liu Xuguang, vice mayor of Chengdu, vice chairman and secretary general of the Executive Committee of Chengdu Universiade, said that 49 competition venues were all completed in April last year, of which 36 were upgraded from existing venues, 18 were opened to the public through the "Action Plan for Benefiting the People in Universiade Venues", and the core competition venues passed 19 tests of various competitions at all levels.

"From April to June this year, we will continue to hold test drills for basketball, volleyball, judo, fencing, swimming and other events in these venues, and we will make a summary one by one, continuously optimize and improve the conditions for running the venues, so that athletes can have a better competitive experience." Liu Xuguang said.

In terms of epidemic prevention and control, Chengdu Universiade will learn from the experience of Beijing Winter Olympics, set up an expert group and a special work class for epidemic prevention and control, formulate epidemic prevention rules of "one competition, one policy" for 18 competition events, and implement strict closed-loop management to prepare for the safe running of the competition under the normalized epidemic prevention and control.

Leng Shiming, the second-level inspector of Sichuan Sports Bureau, said that in the next step, the Chengdu Universiade will benchmark the Beijing Winter Olympics, draw up the Competition Operation Code for 18 events, formulate the Risk Prevention and Control Plan for Competition Organizations, and continue to organize and implement a series of drills with all elements, aiming at the competition command system, epidemic prevention and control of competition organizations and other aspects. The venues of Chengdu Universiade have all met the requirements for hosting the Games. 2

The 31th Summer Universiade will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from June to July this year, and the Universiade will be strictly closed-loop managed, and the internal cross will be minimized.

Liu Xuguang, deputy mayor of Chengdu Municipal Government, vice chairman and secretary-general of the Executive Committee of Chengdu Universiade, introduced that this Universiade used the experience of Beijing Winter Olympics for reference, set up an expert group and a special work class for epidemic prevention and control, formulated epidemic prevention rules of "one competition, one policy" for 18 competitions, and implemented strict closed-loop management.

It is reported that in order to ensure the safety of the Games and the city, Chengdu has compiled the Work Plan for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Epidemic in Chengdu Universiade, covering 11 aspects such as entry, Universiade Village, venues and accommodation, and 48 measures such as remote prevention and control, vaccination, nucleic acid detection and personal protection, forming a policy system for the prevention and control of the Games.

In addition, the organizers have formulated different epidemic prevention manuals for athletes, team officials and various customer groups, and defined the principles of vaccination, closed-loop management, and COVID-19 liaison officers. Liu Xuguang introduced the specific epidemic prevention measures and related matters from entry to departure, so as to put the safety of athletes and participants in the first place. Relevant epidemic prevention policies have also been fully communicated with the International University Sports Federation, and will work with the International University Sports Federation and all delegations to safeguard the epidemic prevention safety of the Universiade.

"On the one hand, the purpose of doing this is to strictly distinguish between the inner ring and the outer ring to prevent the risks in the ring from spilling over to the city side. On the other hand, it is also necessary to reduce the cross in the ring. Although the people in the ring are in the closed loop, there are corresponding measures and guidelines to reduce the spread of risks. " Liu Xuguang said.

Liu Xuguang introduced that after arriving in Chengdu, the Universiade-related personnel will be transported directly to the centralized accommodation by special vehicles, and health monitoring and nucleic acid detection will be carried out every day. During the competition, the Universiade-related personnel will travel to and from the accommodation, competition and workplace by special vehicles.

"We have a basic requirement for athletes leaving the Universiade Village, that is, they are not allowed to leave the village safely, and they are tested every day. Only when the nucleic acid test is negative the next morning are they allowed to take special vehicles to various venues, participate in competitions according to the arrangement of the games, and leave the village properly." After the game, special vehicles will be used to send the relevant personnel out of the country in time. Domestic participants, including closed-loop staff and volunteers, will be isolated as required after the Universiade and then return to their normal working lives. The venues of Chengdu Universiade have all met the conditions for hosting the Games. 3

On March 8th, Chengdu Universiade officially entered the countdown of 111 days. During the competition, Chengdu Public Transport Group will operate more than 1,111 traffic protection routes to facilitate the travel of more than 11,111 athletes, team officials and news media from nearly 91 participating countries and regions.

In addition, some vehicles of K1, K2, K6, K13, Jincheng Sightseeing Line and Tianfu Airport Special Line have been "worn" in the same paragraph of Chengdu Universiade. The dynamic image of Chengdu Universiade mascot "Rongbao" at the rear of the car is particularly eye-catching, and you can see "Chengdu Faner" at a glance. Rongbao's ears, eyes and tail are in the form of flames, and it runs happily with the torch of "31" flame in its hand. The six characters of "Chengdu's dream achievement" painted in the middle of the car body show a strong Universiade atmosphere.
