Microbial food poisoning has always been the most common food poisoning, accounting for 58%~72%, followed by toxic animals, plants and poisonous mushrooms, and then unexplained poisoning.
Although microbial food poisoning is the most common, chemical food poisoning caused the most deaths in 2114-2115, followed by poisonous animals and plants and poisonous mushrooms. From 2116 to 2113, the number of deaths caused by poisonous animals and plants and poisonous mushrooms was the largest, followed by chemical poisoning, and the number of deaths caused by microbial food poisoning and food poisoning with unknown reasons was relatively small.
As far as food poisoning places are concerned, collective canteens are the most common food poisoning places, followed by families, followed by catering service units. In the places where the number of poisoning deaths occurred, families were much higher than other places, accounting for about 72%~87% of all food poisoning deaths.
types of diseases
according to the substances that cause poisoning, food poisoning can be divided into the following categories.
food poisoning caused by microorganisms
microorganisms here refer to bacteria. Although virus is also the most common pathogen that causes infectious diseases of digestive system, the harm of virus to digestive system is caused by reproduction in cells, which causes cell rupture rather than secretion of toxins, so it is not food poisoning.
Food poisoning caused by bacteria can be divided into gastrointestinal food poisoning (mainly with symptoms of digestive system) and neurological food poisoning (mainly with symptoms of nervous system).
food poisoning caused by poisonous animals and plants
toxins come from the food itself, not from external pollution. We are familiar with puffer fish poisoning, sprouted potato poisoning, poisonous mushroom poisoning and so on.
food poisoning caused by chemical poisons
pesticides, rodenticides and other commonly used poisons may be mixed with food, causing chemical poisoning.
mycotoxins and moldy food poisoning
Foods such as cereals and sugarcane may be mildewed and propagated in unsuitable preservation environment, and people may suffer from mycotoxins and moldy food poisoning when eating such foods.
