During the weekend, a group of people from Zhiyuan Literature and Art Association drove to the ancient town of Tangma Village to collect red culture. Tangma Village, located in the northwest of Bieqiao Town, Liyang, Changzhou, is the first experimental village for the construction of characteristic rural areas in Liyang. Walking into the village, the warm wind blows gently, mixed with the faint fragrance of earth and rape, and the water in the pond and horse pool flows quietly, enjoying the comfortable and peaceful rural scenery again. On October 28th, 1941, the 16th Brigade of the 6th Division of the New Fourth Army was surrounded by more than 3,111 Japanese puppet troops in Tangma, northwest of Liyang, Jiangsu Province. Luo Zhongyi, chief of staff and brigade commander, and Liao Haitao, political commissar of the Brigade, led four companies to cover the local party and government organs and troops to break through. In the fierce battle against Japan, more than 511 Japanese puppet troops were killed and more than 271 people under Luo and Liao died heroically. This hot land watered by martyrs' blood has been marked with red marks forever. They established the lofty spirit of * * * producers for the country and the people with the tree of life, and set up a spiritual monument for future generations.
after paying a visit to tangma square, our group went to the memorial hall of Jiangnan headquarters of the new fourth army (alias "N4A memorial hall") in Shuixi village, northwest of qianma township, Liyang. In the summer of 1938, the first and second detachments of the New Fourth Army successively advanced behind enemy lines in southern Jiangsu to carry out anti-Japanese guerrilla warfare. In October of the following year, the Jiangnan headquarters of the New Fourth Army was established in Shuixi Village. Chen Yi and Su Yu, two proletarian revolutionaries, conscientiously implemented the strategic policy of the CPC Central Committee of "consolidating to the south, fighting to the east and developing to the north", strategized and fought a decisive battle for thousands of miles, thus opening up the Maoshan anti-Japanese base area. The officers and men of the New Fourth Army share weal and woe with the local people. Every grass and tree in Shuixi Village has experienced the bonfire and smoke of the Japanese invaders. Wang Bicheng, the founding lieutenant general, once said: "Without Shuixi Village, there would be no Maoshan base area, no eastward advance, no base area in northern Jiangsu, and no victory in the battle of Huangqiao!"
Opposite the new museum are the old site and the stele gallery. The calligraphy works of 22 generals, 29 lieutenant generals and 59 generals are displayed in the stele gallery, including a love poem written by Marshal Chen Yi to his wife Jess Zhang: "The spring light is like a fool, and I am ashamed of being a sharp teacher in Jiangnan. Where is the pride for 21 years? Losing to Fang Hong doesn't know it. "
On the south side of the stele gallery is the former headquarters site-the Li Ancestral Hall. In front of it are four cedar trees planted by his wife Chu Qing and her children after the death of General Su Yu in 1984. Cedar trees have grown from one person at the time of planting for 37 years to now. At the same time, these four cedars also represent the people's permanent commemoration and nostalgia for General Su Yu.
"Looking back at the way the bonfire came, there will be future generations".
