1. Economy: This is obvious, and the western cities and the eastern cities are not comparable. This can be seen from the annual GDP. Guiyang has no huge secondary industry support, and the tertiary industry has made great progress in recent years because of a period of occlusion. But the progress is quite amazing.
2. Urban construction: It was the rainy season when I went to Hangzhou, so Hangzhou was quite clean and orderly. This is also what Guiyang needs to learn. The road planning in Hangzhou is reasonable, and the construction of the West Lake Belt is quite exquisite and has its own style. Guiyang is mostly karst mountain, so the difficulty and cost of urban planning and construction are very high, so in the old city, you will see skyscrapers and six or seven-story residential buildings living side by side. In Jinyang New District of Guiyang, due to reasonable planning and good geographical environment, there is a considerable progress in construction. However, I feel that Guiyang still lacks its own style and spirit.
3. Traffic jam: This is a common problem in every city. I also experienced a long traffic jam in Hangzhou, and also in Guiyang. The core area of the old city of Guiyang is small, with a large population density and dense vehicles, so the traffic jam is a bit serious.
4. Price: objectively speaking, it depends on how you spend it. Hangzhou Tower and lakeside famous shops in Hangzhou are also quite expensive places, but the prices of some hotels are really quite affordable; Guiyang is the same. If you want to live a luxurious life, the price will be quite high. If you live an ordinary life, a middle-income person can stand it. However, I think the food price in Guiyang is still a little high.
5. Tourism: I think the two cities have their own advantages. What I appreciate most is the free tour of the West Lake Belt, which makes me feel very intimate. Guiyang has a unique climate resource, which I can proudly say is unmatched anywhere in China. However, Guiyang's tourism hardware and software, especially software, need to be improved, not just made, but also made better.
6. Diet: I love the lightness and delicacy of hangzhou dishes, and I also love the tolerance and enthusiasm of Guizhou cuisine.
7. Generally speaking, Hangzhou and Guiyang are not cities of an order of magnitude at all. We have to admit the great advantages of the east in urban construction planning and economic development, and we also have to see the great leap Guiyang has made as a western city in recent years. There are differences and similarities between the two cities. I think it can be a good learning opportunity.
