There are 25 provincial key cultural relics protection units and 53 municipal key cultural relics protection units.

As of June, 20 18, there were 5-level, 4-level and 3-level scenic spots in Yuelu District 1:

1. National AAAAA-level tourist scenic spot: Orange Island Tourist Scenic Spot in Yuelu Mountain (including Lushan Scenic Spot, Orange Island Scenic Spot, Yuelu Academy Scenic Spot and the former site of the Founding Conference of Xinmin Society).

2. National AAAA-level tourist scenic spot: Yanghu Wetland Scenic Spot in Changsha City.
