Dialect teachers mainly explain the pronunciation, meaning and characters of Zhoushan dialect for officers and men, teach the tricks of learning Zhoushan dialect, and give special explanations to some fire-fighting words commonly used in police reception and daily law enforcement.

Daishan fire officers and soldiers said that although they could not learn Zhoushan dialect quickly, they hoped to understand the dialect in a short time to ensure correct law enforcement.

In order to improve the learning effect, the officers and men of Daishan Brigade insist on studying for 31 minutes every day, and ask them to communicate in simple dialects as much as possible in their lives.

It is understood that through the implementation of this series of measures, officers and men have entered the stage of "understanding" from "not understanding", and individual police officers have also changed from "understanding" to "primary speaking", so they can cope with dialect alarm and daily supervision and law enforcement normally, without having to rush to find an interpreter, and officers and men can arrive at the scene in time and quickly after receiving daily alarm, reducing the number of police officers and men.

However, after living on the island for some time, I realized the hardships of the island. Our company is stationed alone on an island. Because of the steep mountains, it is difficult to grow vegetables. Our company often can't eat vegetables, and sometimes it is really difficult to dig wild vegetables. The biggest difficulty on the island is the lack of fresh water. In normal years, the company relies on the mainland to transport water in May and June of a year. We often use one water for multiple purposes. The rice washing water is used to wash vegetables, and the face washing water is saved to wash clothes. There is no regular electricity on the island, and there is no traffic boat. The officers and men can only take local fishing boats to catch up with the strong wind, and it is common that they can't sail for ten and a half days. The most unforgettable experience of my vacation in the autumn of 1995, when I got my vacation slip that night, I contacted my comrade-in-arms in Dalian through the switchboard and asked him to buy a train ticket for the third day. I didn't expect the fire to blow for two days the next day. The biggest feature of winter is the large temperature difference. The sunshine is very comfortable during the day, but it can make you shiver at night. Within a few days of winter, my hands and ears were frostbitten. Faced with the harsh climatic environment and dilapidated accommodation conditions on the island, the veterans made up a jingle: "In winter, the north wind whistles, wear leather to wear a fur hat, and wear a mask at night, otherwise the nose will freeze off; In summer, clouds surround the mountains, and clothes and quilts don't dry. If you stay for five or six years, you will get arthritis. " Because of the hard living environment, in the first year of enlistment, I often went to the seaside alone after dinner and complained about my fate. When I came to this terrible place as a soldier, what I expected most was to leave the island as soon as possible.

Later, with the enthusiastic help of the officers and men of the company, I really got into the military school as I wished. I was infinitely grateful to my comrades in the company and deeply missed the hard and happy time I spent with them in the dilapidated barracks. In 2111, because I missed my former comrades-in-arms and old leaders, after graduating from the military academy, I resolutely returned to the company of the coastal defense outpost as a platoon leader.
