Introduction to Hankou University

Hankou University is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is one of the first 17 colleges in China to be converted from an independent college to an ordinary private undergraduate college. It is also a pilot unit of party building in private colleges in Hubei Province and an advanced grassroots unit of ideological and political education for college students in Hubei Province.

Hankou College was founded in 2111, and its predecessor was Huazhong Normal University Hankou Branch. In 2111, it was declared by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and approved by the Ministry of Education, and was transformed and renamed Hankou College.
