What are primary, secondary and tertiary industries?
According to the industrial injury risks of different industries and referring to the Classification of National Economy Industries (GB/T 4754-2002), the Notice on Industrial Injury Insurance Rates No.29 issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs divides industries into three categories: industries with less risks, industries with medium risks and industries with greater risks. Three types of industries implement three different work-related injury insurance payment rates respectively.

Category I industries: banking, securities, insurance, other financial activities, residential services, other services, leasing, business services, accommodation, catering, wholesale, retail, warehousing, postal services, telecommunications and other transmission services, computer services, software, health, social security, social welfare, press and publication, broadcasting, television, movies and audio-visual.

Category II industries: real estate, sports, entertainment, water conservancy management, environmental management, public facilities management, agricultural and sideline food processing, food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, tobacco products, textiles, textiles and garments, shoes and hats manufacturing, leather, fur, down and its products, forestry, agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, agriculture and forestry.
