Tiger Hill is surrounded by a small river, so it is suggested to walk around the river first, see other small scenic spots, and then go up the mountain to see the tower.
Tiger Hill
Introduction: It is the landmark landscape of Suzhou City, known as "the first scenic spot in Wuzhong", located in the northwest of Suzhou Ancient City, 3.5 kilometers away from Changmen. There are many historical sites in Tiger Hill, with rich legends, which are the result of nymphs and the charm of hills. Su Shi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once said, "It is a pity not to visit Tiger Hill in Suzhou." When evaluating the characteristics of Huqiu, the ancients once put forward the theory of "nine suitability", saying that Huqiu is suitable for the moon, snow, rain, smoke, Yichun Xiao, summer, autumn, falling trees and sunset.
History: In ancient times, Tiger Hill was once a small island in the bay that appeared and disappeared with the tide. After vicissitudes of life, it finally emerged from the sea and became a hill isolated on the flat ground, so people called it Haiyong Mountain. The origin of Tiger Hill and the sea can be seen in the Zhaobi, Haiyong Bridge, Haiyong Spring and Yuejia Xuan of Yongcui Villa, where the stone carving of "Haiyong Peak" written by Qian Daxin, a scholar of the Qing Dynasty, stands.
Suzhou was the capital of the State of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and He Lv, the king of Wu, was buried here after his death. Three days after his burial, white tigers lived on it, hence the name Tiger Hill. Then Qin Shihuang climbed the hill to see the victory; Xiang Yu, the overlord of the West Chu, led 8111 children to fight against Qin again. Later, when Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, served as a secretariat in Suzhou, he chiseled mountains to divert water and built Qili Dike to make the scenery of Tiger Hill more beautiful.
Guide: The main scenic spots are: tiger hill, "the third spring in the world", Broken Beam Hall, Hanhan Spring, Sword Test Stone, Jianchi, Yongcui Mountain Villa and Wanjing Mountain Villa.
tiger hill is a flat octagonal brick tower built in the Song Dynasty (AD 961), with 7 floors and a height of 47.5 meters.
due to the foundation, the tower has been inclined to the northwest since 411 years ago. According to preliminary measurement, the deviation of the center point at the top of the tower from the central vertical line has reached 2.3 meters (the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy, has a deviation of 4.4 meters), and the inclination is 2゜41', so it is called "Leaning Tower of Pisa in the East". The original tower top was destroyed by lightning. When it was rebuilt in 1956, a large number of precious cultural relics such as stone letters, prayer boxes, bronze buddhas, bronze mirrors and celadon lotus bowls in Yueyao were found in the third interlayer.
The sword pool in Tiger Hill The most mysterious and attractive monument in Tiger Hill is the sword pool. On the stone wall due north of the Thousand People Stone, four characters are engraved: "Tiger Hill and Sword Pool". It is said that these four words were written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. The so-called sword pool is a pool as narrow as a sword under the cliff. The tomb of He Lv, the king of Wu, may be here. It is said that at that time, 3,111 fish intestines swords and other swords were used to bury the king of Wu, hence the name Jianchi. Two steep stone cliffs rose from the ground and locked a pool of green water. "The pool is dark and cold" and "the empty mountain is deep and firm", and the weather is one of them. According to the Records of Suzhou Prefecture, Lu Yu once lived in Tiger Hill for a long time, studying tea and writing Tea Classics. The water in Jianchi was named "the fifth spring in the world" by him.
Mystery of the Tomb of the King of Wu In 1955, the Tiger Hill was renovated and the sword pool was dredged. At that time, I scrubbed the moss, and verified that there were stone inscriptions on the rock wall on the east side of Jianchi, such as those of Changzhou, Wuxian and Kunshan in Ming Dynasty, and those of Tang Yin and Wang Yong, which contained the simple information that Jianchi was dry in the seventh year of Ming Zhengde (1512) and the tomb gate of the Prince of Wu was found at the bottom of the pool. From the analysis of the mud piled up behind the Tiger Hill and the above-mentioned signs, it is likely that the sword pool was designed and excavated to cover the king's tomb. There may also be some secret behind the tomb door. However, whether the tomb of the Prince of Wu is among them is still a mystery through the ages until it is confirmed by archaeological excavations.

Lingering Garden and Humble Administrator's Garden, both known as one of the four famous gardens in China, are listed in the "World Cultural Heritage List" and the tour lasts about 1 hours.
Lingering Garden
Introduction: Lingering Garden, together with Humble Administrator's Garden, Beijing Summer Palace and chengde mountain resort, is also known as one of the four famous gardens in China and is listed in the World Cultural Heritage List. History: Lingering Garden was founded in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, and was originally the East Garden of Xu Taishi, the head of Taipu Temple. The rockery in the garden was made by Zhou Bingzhong, a famous dieshi master. Qing Qianlong was acquired by Liu Shu at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and it was renamed Hanbi Mountain Villa after expansion, which was called "Liuyuan". There are twelve peaks of Taihu Stone in the garden, which is a wonder. During the Xianning period, many gardens in Suzhou were damaged, but this garden existed alone. In the early years of Guangxu, the official Shen Shengkang bought this garden, absorbed the strengths of various gardens in Suzhou, re-expanded and repaired it, and renamed it Liuyuan.
Guide: Lingering Garden is divided into four scenic spots, namely, the central, the east, the west and the north. The scenic spots are connected by a 711-meter-long curved corridor, and more than 311 calligraphy and stone carvings of famous artists in the past dynasties are embedded in the two walls of the corridor, which is called "Lingering Garden Fatie". Under the veranda, there is a white flower wall with a leaking window, and the pattern is exquisite. Looking from the flower wall, the pavilion of the mountain pool is looming among the flower trees, like a picture scroll of Danqing, which has a unique interest. Lingering Garden has become an outstanding model of garden art in the south of the Yangtze River with its landscape layout suitable for living and traveling and unique stone peak landscape.
