Yum China Business Unit is the China headquarters of Yum Global Restaurants Group, established in Shanghai in 1993, which provides operations, development, planning, finance, personnel, public relations affairs, and franchising services for all wholly-owned, joint-venture, and franchised KFC, Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Oriental Standard & White restaurants, including those in China, Taiwan, and Thailand.

By the end of March 2008, Yum China has successfully opened more than 2,100 KFC restaurants, more than 350 Pizza Hut restaurants, more than 60 Taco Bell restaurants, 14 Oriental and 3 Pizza Hut stations in mainland China, with more than 160,000 employees. The company has been recognized by the Ministry of Commerce as the No. 1 of China's top 100 food and beverage companies for many years. 2007 China Yum's turnover was RMB 21.5 billion, the fastest growing part of Yum's global restaurant group
