Xinyang is the hometown of famous tea in China, and "Xinyang Maojian" is one of the top ten famous teas in China. Tea is a symbol of Xinyang, a traditional advantage industry in Xinyang, and a sunrise industry, ecological industry and health industry with strong competitiveness, great potential and broad prospects. The city's tea garden covers an area of 1.5 million mu, with an annual output of 36 million kilograms of tea and a comprehensive output value of 4 billion yuan; Tea has become a pillar industry in Xinyang to enrich the people and strengthen the city. Since 1992, Xinyang has successfully held the 18th China Tea Capital Xinyang International Tea Culture Festival.
