History: Shanghai University of Business was formerly known as Central Taxation School East China Branch, which was established in February 1950; it was founded in 1919 as the Central Taxation School East China Branch; it was founded in 1919 as the Central Taxation School East China Branch.

Shanghai Business School, formerly known as the Central Taxation School, was founded in February 1950 as the East China Branch; in 1983, the Shanghai Finance and Trade Management Cadre College was established; in 1998, the Shanghai Institute of Commercial Vocational and Technical College was established; in 2004, it was upgraded to the Shanghai Business School, and full-time general undergraduate education was begun. 2016, the Shanghai Municipal Business Education and Training Center (the Shanghai Municipal Center of Commercial Talent Development and Service Center) was merged into the whole system.

Certified Accounting Professionals (CPA), with the core of the CPA curriculum system, cultivates students who are familiar with domestic accounting standards and auditing practices. Financial Management (FM) takes management accounting as its professional characteristic, and takes the U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) examination and certification content system as the linkage to cultivate dual-certification outstanding financial planner talents who integrate accounting, finance and management knowledge. The finance major buttresses the knowledge system of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) of the United States and connects with the international standards, cultivating excellent financial analyst talents with CFA (Level 1) characteristics.
