The best arrangement for a two-day trip in and around Nanjing
It's almost time for a long vacation later this year. Have your friends in Nanjing decided where to go to play? There are a lot of good places around Nanjing that are suitable for Nanjing people to take a short drive. This is the best arrangement for a two-day tour in and around Nanjing.

Day1: Maoshan Tianshengqiao Wusi Temple Gaochun Old Street

First stop: Jiangsu's most beautiful highway Maoshan

Known as Jiangsu Province's most beautiful highway, Jiangyan Highway (Changhe Highway) starts from Hefei, passes through Chaohu, Ma'anshan, Lishui, Jintan, Changzhou, Jiangyin, and Zhangjiagang, and finally reaches Changshu. The Jiangsu section has meandering scenery along the way, with _Lake and Maoshan scenic spots.

After arriving at the Maoshan service area and disembarking from the highway, you enter a long, winding ramp through the forest. After two or three miles, you don't see the service area. Instead, you see directions to the toll booth. At first you wondered if you were going the wrong way. You traveled straight for almost 2 kilometers before you reached the fourth floor of the station sign, the service area. Maoshan service has a special feature, the mountains are high and deep, without the noise and pollution of other service areas, the air is fresh and the scenery is beautiful. It is a pity that the general public seldom visit here.

Several steps outside the service area restaurant is like a viewing platform, near a huge lake, more than ten kilometers long. It's actually one - the reservoir of Jintan's Maodong Reservoir. The mountain opposite is the famous Maoshan, with the Jiuyun Wanfu Palace at the top of the highest hill faintly visible. Walking along the lake, the environment is pleasant like entering a scenic spot, and there are some small attractions. The most prominent of these is a group of sculptures, Laozi Shiyi, and an inscription, Laozi Daodejing, attached to the main Taoist shrine on Maoshan.

Second stop: Lishui Rouge River Tiansheng Bridge

Lishui, located in the south of Nanjing, is an important sub-city of Nanjing. It is the birthplace of the 100-mile Qinhuai River. The charm of the water town, idyllic scenery, mountain views and cultural monuments make it a great place for vacation.

Out of the Maoshan service area, ahead is the real first stop of the short trip: Lishui.

Lishui Tiansheng Bridge is excavated by hand. Speaking of Lishui Tiansheng Bridge, we have to talk about this Rouge River, which was excavated during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, with a length of 7.5 kilometers from the Qinhuai River to the mouth of the sea in the north, and from Honglan Harbor to the confluence with Shishu Lake in the south. The excavation of this river, communication between Nanjing and Zhejiang water transportation. Rouge River project of the arduous, costly, in the water conservancy construction at the time is rare. When the Rouge River was excavated, the craftsmen chose a place with hard stones and high ground as the access to the western part of the county. When the river was completed, a huge rock would be cut underneath and boats would pass underneath. This is the famous Born Bridge.

Now it is a great attraction. When you enter the Rouge River by boat, all you can see is the spectacular sight of strange rocks hanging high on both sides of the river, a wall, and a huge boulder spanning both sides of the river.

Third stop: Lishui Wuxiang Temple

"Searching for ancient times, exploring the moon, inviting friends to tour the mountains. Time back to love, like water, like thoughts, like wind." Located 7 kilometers south of Lishui District, Wuxiang Temple Forest Park is a unique leisure resort. It is rumored that Wuxiang Temple was built in the Sixth Dynasty, but was destroyed in the war in the late Qing Dynasty. Now there is only a ruins and a humble Buddhist temple. I've always wanted to go to Wuxiang Temple because I was intrigued by the name. Why "Wuxiang"? Until I found a couplet on the roof of the temple, I wondered if it meant that the name of the mountain was empty and the name of the temple was dreamy.

The scenic area is still under development, but retains a valuable original ecology. Not many tourists, it is easy to wander. Someone on the Internet said the nearby Tianchi was worth a visit, so I went there with great excitement. It's actually a small pool of water at the top of a mountain, but it's really nice to walk on the lake, step on the thick pine needles, and listen to the creaking sounds.

Warm tips: Wuxiang Temple Forest Park is still under planning and construction. Those who like to visit mature attractions are advised to take a detour. In addition, although Wuxiang Mountain is only 200 meters high, the mountain road is rugged, so friends who are traveling by car are advised to drive carefully.

Fourth stop

Gaochun Old Street, also known as Shichun Old Street, is the commercial center of Gaochun and the best-preserved ancient building complex in Jiangsu Province. It is also known as "the second Fuzimiao in Jinling". It has been more than 900 years since the market was officially established in Song Dynasty. It is more than 800 meters long from east to west, and is also known as Yizi Street because of its "I" shape.

Day2: Pagoda Park, Lacquer Bridge Village, Chunxi Ancient Town on Wenfeng Pagoda

If you can't get enough of the old street at night, you can go back during the day.

The old street is already bustling with activity in the morning compared to at night, so feel the Gaochun on the tip of your tongue, starting with a local breakfast.

At the most famous soup dumpling store in the Old Street, you can order crab roe soup dumplings, rice cakes and handmade noodles for breakfast. After breakfast, you can stroll around the Old Street and buy famous local dry goods, cloth shoes and hairy crabs.

Longdun Reservoir Park, Qiaoqi Ancient Village, Baota District

Leave the Old Street and drive along Gucheng Lake for a while, then head to Baota Park. If you don't go hiking, you won't have fun. You always look forward to where you can get up high and take in the character of the region.

The first stop in Mancheng is the ancient village of Qiaoqi, in the northeastern part of Gaochun, surrounded by water on all sides, and superbly isolated and desolate. Around it are gathered 30,000 descendants of Confucius. The ancient village has a 500-meter-long old street with a history of nearly 2,000 years. Ancient bridges from the Han Dynasty, ancient wells from the Song Dynasty, and buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties are all visible. The oldest house was built in the Yuan Dynasty. Everything on the old street is old. The old-fashioned bamboo makers, the old-fashioned tofu workshops, the old men in double-breasted clothes, the old-fashioned hand-carved wood carvers, all of them show the beauty of ancient simplicity and elegance.

As the name of the ancient village of Qiaoqi, Qiaoqi is naturally the most famous local attraction. According to the local history "Kong's genealogy" and "Republic of Gaochun County Records", Qiaoqi was called "Nanling" before the Han Dynasty. At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, a wooden bridge was built over the Xidi River in Nanling. In order to prevent decay, the bridge was constructed with danqiao, commonly known as "lacquer bridge". Since the Han Dynasty, the bridge has been the main road connecting southern Jiangsu and southern Anhui.

There used to be gate towers on the north side of the bridge to enter and exit the South River. The bridge and the tower were the only places where the ancient Ning Post Road passed through. The lacquer bridge is 28.6 meters long and 6.6 meters wide. It has been restored several times over the millennia. in 1953, this three-arched stone bridge was rebuilt. At present, there are actually three bridges over the river. The old stone arch bridge, Lacquer Bridge, is located in the center, and there is a new wooden bridge, also called Lacquer Bridge, on the side, which will soon recreate the elegance of the Lacquer Bridge of that time.

Wenfeng Pagoda

Wenfeng Pagoda is located in the vicinity of Dai-San-Ki, and its origins are said to be related to the Sifang Pagoda in Gaochun County. It is said that Shichun has four pagodas, but there are no pagodas in Shanxiang. The literati of Shanxiang were afraid that the literary line would fall to the west, so they asked the gentry to raise funds to build it on the hillside, which was later destroyed and is now rebuilt on the top of the hill.

Everything under the sky seems dwarfed as Wenfeng climbs up the other hills. There was a slight mist, but as the villages of Slowtown were scattered among the mountains and rivers, it felt like you were glad you'd come.

The pagoda descends to Dasanjie, where the Ten Temples of the Underworld and the various tortures that follow a descent into hell are a warning to do good and be virtuous. =
