Tianjin Tianshi College was approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in 1999 and is a full-time general undergraduate college directly under the Tianjin Municipality. Relying on the internationalized enterprise TIANSHI GROUP, with the achievements of the world's scientific and technological cultural progress and the characteristics of regional economic development, after twenty years of school running history, it has created an applied university with global strategic thinking and domestic first-class practice system. The university is located on the bank of Longfeng River in Wuqing District, Tianjin, and is a private comprehensive university.

The university is located in Wuqing District, Tianjin, in the "Beijing-Tianjin Corridor", on the south bank of the Longfeng River. As of March 2022, the university occupies an area of 3.2 square kilometers, with an overall building plan of 2.1 million square meters, and can accommodate more than 30,000 students in the school.
