A 1) High-end restaurants mainly include Shuyou, Kerry, Harbour City and Honor. Among them, Kerry's cucumber broth and seamount bone are a perfect match, and the tofu pudding dessert after dinner is very smooth and sweet. The dessert in Honor Tea is very authentic. These restaurants are passable, mainly serving abalone wings. In fact, they are found all over the country, and the taste is passable. I think the best abalone wings are in Shantou, where chefs are said to have high salaries and are unwilling to go out of the city, so the taste is more authentic. Kerry and Harbour City both have branches by the sea, and seascape cuisine is really a highlight.
A2) The middle and high-end restaurants are mainly peonies and elegant buildings. Among them, octopus and frozen bamboo shoots in Yazhu are signature dishes. Peony's new hotel is a five-star standard. In fact, the food inside is delicious and the price is very affordable. Bailuzhou "blessed house" has a good geographical environment, and you can see the night view of Xiamen at night, and the price is also real. Many restaurants recommend Longtu Soup, a specialty of Xiamen, which is known as aphrodisiac, but most of them are farmed now, and the actual effect is average. It is recommended to order a soup similar to perch and eel, which tastes better. All restaurants have fried crabs, which is a special practice in Xiamen and can reflect the delicacy of crabs. When ordering, ask the store whether to choose the unique "swallow crab" in Xiamen. The appearance of this variety is similar to that of ordinary crabs, but the fried crab paste is yellow, fragrant and refreshing, which is much more delicious than the common red crab.
A3) The food stall recommends Yaling Restaurant under Shangli Reservoir. Boiled squid can be added with live shrimp in the broth. The soup is refreshing and sweet, and the wine is great. Other seafood is also complete. The owner of Jacky restaurant at Douxi intersection sells fish with fresh and cheap ingredients. It's cool to drink beer on the roadside with a few snacks on the cool octopus snail opposite the park primary school, but it's occasionally disturbed by the urban management. The A 'ai food stall opposite the first kindergarten features melon seeds (from May to 65438+ 10 every year), fried sour bamboo shoots with fish belly, fish sauce mixed with oil and water, cold snails, fried crabs and so on. The boss buys his own food every day, so most of the raw materials are fresh and tender, and the price is very affordable; The food stall of Zengji basketball court in Zeng Cuo An Village is a place where villagers often get together. The raw materials are rich and affordable, and the specialty is fish porridge. The fried dried bean curd in Baijiacun is a special pancake hot pot in Xiamen. Customers sit in the alley, cooking while cooking tofu and seafood on the frying pan, even if it smells like oil smoke.
A4) In rural areas around Xiamen, people usually buy seafood, spiced dishes and other raw materials for weddings, funerals and feudal festivals, such as Purdue, and invite special chefs to have a meal in their own yard. Because the raw materials are authentic, the chef will not cut corners, so the dishes are original, fresh and hygienic. It is not easy for friends and relatives to set up several tables to eat and drink. The more guests there are, the more face the host feels. I sometimes take friends from other places who come to Xiamen for a holiday to eat, and the host and guest enjoy themselves.
A5) Xiamen University has also gathered various cuisines from all over the country, the most famous of which is the Sichuan cuisine of "Erwa Boiled Live Fish" behind Maben New Village. "Xiangjiang Red" Hunan cuisine; "New Hakka Cuisine" Hakka cuisine, most well-known restaurants in China have branches in Xiamen. Japanese food, Thai food, Korean food, Brazilian barbecue, etc. Buddhism is very popular in Xiamen, and most families have shrines and tea sets, which is also a characteristic culture of southern Fujian. Therefore, many temples have vegetarian restaurants open to the public, and various business districts also have special vegetarian restaurants.
A6) Snacks mainly include satay noodles and duck porridge. Among the satay noodles, the "Li Si satay noodles" in lakeside Li Si vegetable market and the "Park satay noodles" in Baijia village are the most authentic, while the "Wutang satay noodles" in minzu road is famous and tastes good, but the service attitude is very general and the price is expensive. The "Fuyu Datong Duck Porridge" opposite Datong Primary School has the most authentic taste and is open 24 hours a day. There is "Moon Shrimp Noodles" shrimp soup on the side, which tastes mellow and does not lose the "Shrimp Noodles Brother" on the betel nut roadside. The "Wu Snack Bar" at the entrance of the mountain is authentic Wu's own cooking, as well as various authentic Xiamen snacks, such as taro and flat food. The "Jiawei snack bar" on the ferry is actually the former site of Wu. Many people mistakenly think that it is Wu's shop, but in fact it tastes very different. The old name "Haoxiangguan" used to have many snacks, but I don't know why the taste has deteriorated a lot in recent years, so I don't recommend it. The "Old Song Flat Food" opposite the Federal Square on Hexiang West Road has a smooth taste and is well worth tasting. The old shop is near Bashi, so it is difficult to park. The "chain snack bar" in the cross lane of Jukou Street on Zhongshan Road is a must. Oysters are round and fresh, and the boss often cooks them himself. The cooking is just right. Sweet potato powder mixed with eggs, ginger, garlic and other spices makes people drool. There are other snacks in the shop, such as pig's foot soup and spring rolls. They are delicious, just like the environment, but they are just as good as the food. At the end of Jukou Street, there are two "Sisha Tea Barbecues", and the innermost one is more authentic. The barbecue of glass bottle lettuce and coke tastes first-class; "Li You salted duck" has now been circulated to various markets, with delicious taste and convenient drinking; The "Liang Ya" winter pink duck and five spices opposite Jingmin Hotel are authentic. The "Ginger Duck" on the street of BRT resettlement house in Xilin Gol is a casserole baked with muscovy ducks on the bottom of ginger. It's delicious. You can smell it from a distance.
A7) There are about 8 barbecue shops downstairs of Jinyi Studios in Farming Square. Most of them can eat grilled fish in the open air and will not be driven away by the urban management. The atmosphere is good, but it should be noted that some businesses will deliberately overcharge. The "Laoliang Barbecue" and "Three Kingdoms Grilled Fish" opposite the Xianyue Road Cultural Center live next to each other, and you can have a beer barbecue on the roadside. The grilled fish and oysters in the Three Kingdoms are good, and Lao Liang's chicken wings and mutton kebabs are also good. Mr. Chen's oysters are about 500 meters away from SM Square. The grilled fish is fresh and will return to Gansu. The "Qigong Roasted Wings" grilled fish and roasted wings in Datang Shi Jia Street in the lake are delicious, and the materials and tableware are also very clean. The "Zheergen Grilled Fish" in Kaixuan Market of Hexiang East Road is added with herbs, so eating grilled fish will not get angry. The "grilled oysters" diagonally opposite Datong Primary School is a specialty dish, and grilled mussels are also good. Jiangfeng Fishing and Barbecue in Bay Park is surrounded by mountains and seas, with first-class environment, average taste and average price. Barbecue shops are usually open until 3 am.
A8) The coffee shops in Xiamen have a good environment, among which the coffee street in the west of Marco Polo Ro Hotel is the most typical, facing the lake, with red flowers and green trees, blue sky and clear water. There are about 10 cafes in the street, most of which are converted from villas, all of which have open-air street seats. The delicious food at West Point is "Kalumbi", but the service is not very enthusiastic, and communication basically depends on shouting. It is suggested to find those shops with call service bells to avoid making loud noises, otherwise it will easily attract a bunch of supercilious eyes. This street is a gathering place for fashionable men, women and luxury cars in Xiamen, and you can often see Ferrari Lamborghini and other good cars. There are few parking spaces in this street, and the police copy cards frequently; There is a coffee shop "Miss Zhao's Shop" near Gulangyu Wharf. The music is good and the decoration is quite petty, which is suitable for being in a daze. The "Waterfront Coffee" on the edge of the second city is close to the lake in Zhongshan Park. The environment is elegant and the dishes are good. There are occasional concerts, movies and other activities. Several cafes along Nanhua Road of Xiamen University, such as Brown Sugar, are very close, with simple decoration and low consumption. Most of the customers are students. If you want to relive college life, it is a good choice. You can see some small coffee shops in the bustling area of Xiamen, which are small in size but have their own characteristics. It is common to meet surprises at the corner.
A9) The density of tea shops in Xiamen should be the highest in China. It is often seen that there are 5-6 tea shops on the street less than 100 meters. Tea shops in the streets are hospitable and will show the unique Kung Fu tea ceremony in southern Fujian, allowing customers to taste several different flavors for free. Even if you don't buy it after tasting, the store will send it with a smile (except for the tea shop designated by the tour group). Many tea shop owners grow their own tea in surrounding towns and villages, so tea is made. If ordinary tourists want to buy some home gifts for relatives and friends, they can buy a catty of 200 yuan and have something fresh and refreshing. Shops usually give exquisite independent small packages and gift boxes, as well as simple Kung Fu tea sets. Xiamen has no shortage of high-priced tea, which is suitable for tea ceremony merchants to collect. Most Xiamen people have tea sets in their homes and companies, and guests are used to chatting while making tea, which is also a unique tea culture in Xiamen. From the health point of view, I strongly suggest that you drink as little tea or coffee as possible, not as the main drink, but warm water.
A 10) dessert is famous for "Huang Ze Peanut Soup" on Zhongshan Road; The "slime" shaved ice in the Federal Square of Hexiang West Road is very thin and has a faint milk flavor. The fruits, red beans and taro balls are all fresh. Eating a bowl in summer is really a refreshing enjoyment for taste buds. The store is small and crowded, so it's best to avoid the rush hour.
G 1) Gulangyu Island is only 5 minutes away from Xiamen Island. Sunlight Rock is the symbol of Xiamen, with many tourists and good scenery. In fact, the old villas along Zhangzhou Road are the most attractive in Gulangyu Island, because Gulangyu Island used to be a concession, with consular halls of various countries' architectural styles, and they are all classical structures in the 1930s, which are very nostalgic and worth spending a few days savoring. Some old villas have also been transformed into family hotels, and living in them has a unique flavor. Xiamen Museum itself is a classic building, also called Bagua Building. There are often organ exhibitions in it, which have a strong artistic and humanistic atmosphere. The scenery is good and there are not many tourists, so it is relatively clean.
G2) Although there are not many exotic flowers and grasses in the Botanical Garden, the overall vegetation is well maintained. In particular, the Baihua Hall inside is not as beautiful as Suzhou Garden, but it is also winding and secluded, which is refreshing and pleasant even in summer. There are many gardens with different themes in the Botanical Garden, which are suitable for rest and appreciation when climbing mountains, and also suitable for picking flowers.
G3) The Garden Expo Park is located on the offshore shore of the island, about 15km away from the city center, and it is a gathering of horticultural and architectural masterpieces from all over the country and even the world, and there is also a large-scale waterfront music fountain performance in the evening. A complete visit takes at least 2 days, which is worth savoring. I really have no time to travel by battery car. Half a day is enough.
G4) Nanputuo Temple is full of incense. During the Guanyin Christmas three times a year, there are crowds of people from the evening. The buildings in the temple have a long history and the statues are solemn. Vegetarian food tastes good, and vegetarian pie is made of green materials, which is suitable for making tea or giving gifts to relatives and friends. Next to the temple is Xiamen University, which is known as the most beautiful university campus in China. Surrounded by mountains and seas, there are two beautiful lakes, which are very suitable for serious study or love affairs.
G5) Jimei Olympic Garden is the mausoleum of Mr. Chen Jiageng. Its site selection, layout, stone carving and other details reflect the admiration of the general public, and it is also known as the treasure of architectural art in southern Fujian. Chen Jiageng, the flag of patriotic overseas Chinese in modern times, has always been an idol worshipped by thousands of people in Qian Qian, Xiamen. He donated the nearby Jimei School Village and Xiamen University on the island, but his personal life is simple, which is very suitable for businessmen to remember and learn. Tourists often complain about the uncivilized behavior of vendors and merchants at the door, and suggest not to shop or eat here.
There are many small scenic spots in Xiamen, such as Hu Lishan Fort, Bailuzhou Park, Haicang Wildlife Park and Ocean Park. From my point of view, it is not the best city in China, but if I have enough time, I might as well visit it.
