Sichuan Tourism College is a full-time undergraduate school sponsored by Sichuan Provincial People's Government. 20 13 was approved by the Ministry of Education, and was formed by the merger of the former Sichuan Cuisine College and Sichuan Agricultural Management Cadre College. At present, it is the only independent full-time public tourism undergraduate college in China.
The school focuses on management, co-ordinates the development of engineering, humanities and other disciplines, highlights the majors of tourism, food science, leisure sports and language arts, and specializes in cultivating applied senior talents in tourism and catering.
The school has 14 teaching departments, including cooking department, food science department, hotel management department, tourism department, business department, foreign languages department, information technology department, art department, rural construction and planning department, social science department, sports and leisure college, city college, continuing education college and ideological and political theory teaching department. There are undergraduate and specialist majors in food science and engineering, food quality and safety, hotel management, environmental design, leisure sports, tourism management, cooking technology and nutrition, western food technology, tourism English and French, with more than 8,000 ordinary students.
