Shangri-La Hotel Group has only one chairman, and Qingdao is the general manager appointed by the board of directors. Shangri-La Hotel Qingdao appointed Mr. Wan Haihua as the general manager of the hotel. Prior to this appointment, he was the general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Mr. Wan Haihua has 37 years of hotel management experience and over 18 years of service in Shangri-La Hotel Group. He joined Shangri-La Hotel Group in 1991 as the resident manager of Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Wan Haihua graduated from Hollings University in Manchester, England, majoring in hotel catering management, and has participated in various management and marketing courses at Cornell University, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Washington State University.
