Gongan county is located in the south-central edge of Hubei province, on the south bank of the Yangtze River, and is connected with the first bridge of Jingzhou, the ancient city of the Three Kingdoms. It is the connecting plate between Jianghan Plain and Dongting Lake Plain, and is known as the "seven-province tunnel". The county covers an area of 2,258 square kilometers, with a total population of 654.38+0.06 million, and governs 654.38+0.6 townships. Gong 'an County was established in the fifth year of Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, when it was named Yiling County. In Han Jian 'an 14, Liu Bei of the Three Kingdoms camped in Youhekou and changed Liling to Gong 'an, hence the name Gong 'an County.
