How to write a recommendation letter?
The "references" in our thesis writing are also called bibliographies. According to my own writing experience, it means that in the process of writing our graduation thesis, we refer to some books, newspapers, magazines and other materials that we have referred to, and then mark them at the end of the graduation thesis.

1. What exactly do the references in that paper mean?

In fact, references are an important part of our graduation thesis, and the length of the thesis exists regardless of educational background. To tell the truth, the quotation in the paper is to make the paper we wrote reasonable and well-founded, and the text of the paper will quote the quoted content to enhance the persuasiveness. When quoting references, we usually use brackets or other symbols to mark the reference contribution number, and then put the quoted literature information at the end of the paper.

The references in our paper are reasonable references for papers or works. It is very important for us to keep the unity of papers and references. The correct use of references can improve the quality of our papers, make the viewpoints of the papers well-founded and make the contents more detailed.

The reference we choose is the premise of scientific topic selection and the support point of the paper, which can enrich the content of the paper and give strong support to the theme of the paper. I think references are an indispensable part of a complete and high-quality graduation thesis. Teachers and students who read can effectively find the information related to the thesis through the reference, and understand the contents of the reference and the viewpoints of the graduation thesis more quickly and effectively.

Second, what should I pay attention to when citing references?

If the format of our references is incorrect, it will affect the repetition rate of papers when checking duplicate, leading to a high repetition rate of papers and causing adverse effects. Therefore, while paying attention to the unity of references, we should mark out the main points of books, newspapers and magazines used in writing, and clearly write the title, title, author, publisher and year, with clear format requirements. It's basically no problem to write a paper, then write a document and adjust the format. We should also pay attention to the requirements of the school on the format of papers and the citation rules of references.

It should also be noted that when we are writing a thesis, improper citation of references in graduation thesis can generally be divided into two aspects: the first aspect is random citation, which does not reach the preferred citation; On the other hand, excessive citation is suspected of academic misconduct. This is what we need to pay attention to when quoting references.

Thirdly, let me talk about the reference format:

1, references and notes. According to the number of documents or comments cited in the paper, it is listed after the main body of the paper and before the references. Charts or data must indicate the source and provenance.

When the reference is a periodical, the writing format is:

[No.], author, article title, periodical name (foreign language can be abbreviated), year, number of volumes, number of issues and page number.

When the reference is a book, the writing format is:

[No.], author, title, publishing unit, year, edition and page number.

Annotation is a further explanation or supplementary explanation of a specific content in the text of the paper. Notes should be placed in the footer of this page and marked with circle codes ①, ② and ③.

2. Appendix. Including formula derivation, auxiliary mathematical tools, repeated data charts, symbolic meanings used in this paper, unit abbreviations, full text of the program and related explanations, etc.

The type of reference (i.e. citation) is identified by a single letter, as follows:

[m]- Monographs, works

[c]-Thesis (generally refers to the sequel to the papers published at the meeting, as well as some special papers, such as "Academic Papers of Postgraduates of xxx University".

Newspaper articles

[J]- Journal articles: Papers published in journals, although sometimes what we see is downloaded from the Internet (such as HowNet), are also published in journals, and the electronic journals you see are only their electronic versions.

[D]- Thesis: There is no distinction between master's thesis and doctoral thesis.

[R]- Report: There will be the words "Report on xxxx" in the general title.

[s]- standard

[p]- patent

[a]- Articles: rarely used, mainly articles that do not belong to the above types.

[Z]- Certificates that do not belong to the above types can be identified by the letter "Z", but this is very rare.

Identification of common electronic files and carrier types:

[db/ol]- Online data (database online)

A database on tape.

[m/CD]- CD monograph

[CP/DK]- Disk software (computer program on disk)

Online serial

[EB/ol]- Online bulletin board system.

Obviously, the logo is the English abbreviation of resources,/indicating the previous type,/indicating the carrier of the latter resources, such as OL indicating online resources.

Fourth, summing up experience.

When we are writing a thesis, especially a graduation thesis, we always cry when we talk too much. This is all based on my own history of blood and tears when writing my graduation thesis. The summarized conclusions and references have three advantages:

First, when we write a paper and find that there are mistakes in the quotations, it is easy to find and correct them.

Second, we can let the teachers of our graduation thesis defense committee know the breadth of our reading materials as a reference for graduation thesis review.

Third, it is convenient for students who study similar problems to consult relevant viewpoints and materials.
