Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport has two terminals with a total area of 500,000 square meters and an annual passenger throughput of 50 million passengers.
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 provides check-in, waiting and boarding services for all flights of Sichuan Airlines and other international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan airlines.
Terminal 1 has three parallel corridors (Corridor A, Corridor B and Corridor C), which separate inbound and outbound passengers from domestic and foreign passengers, and is equipped with departure system and building automation system. In 2004, the 39,000-square-meter international hall of the terminal was opened.
Terminal 2
Terminal 2 provides check-in, waiting and boarding services for domestic flights of airlines other than Sichuan Airlines.
Terminal 2 is located near the original feeder terminal. The building area of Terminal 2 is 350,000 square meters. The waiting corridor is a steel truss structure, and the appearance of its bamboo leaves presents the local characteristics of Sichuan. Terminal 2 has added four corridors (D, E, F, G) on the basis of three corridors in Terminal 1. There are 6 check-in islands, 120 manual check-in counters, 35 security channels, 170 elevators, escalators and escalators in the terminal building, and equipped with an automatic baggage sorting system. China International Airlines has also built the first domestic exclusive service area for first-class and business-class passengers in Terminal 2, providing catering, sleeping and shower services. The construction of Terminal 2 started on July 28th, 2009, and passed the completion acceptance on May 24th, 201February. On July 28th of the same year, the flight of China Eastern Airlines to Lhasa Gongga Airport became the first flight departing from Terminal 2.
Freight facilities
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport has three air cargo terminals with a total area of 6.5438+0.7 million square meters, which can handle up to 6.5438+0.5 million tons of cargo and mail transportation every year. It is the largest comprehensive freight terminal in central and western China, which can provide all-weather customs clearance service. United Parcel Service (UPS), FedEx, DHL and SF Express all opened regular freight routes in Chengdu. The air transportation of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport has become the most important logistics channel of Chengdu electronics manufacturing industry.
Runways and taxiways
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport has two parallel runways. Each runway has a supporting taxiway system. The first runway (02L/20R): 3600 meters long and 45 meters wide, with reinforced concrete pavement. There are 1 7.5m wide shoulders on both sides of the runway, and the RESA at both ends of the runway is 200m long. The first runway has four quick exit taxiways and three vertical exit taxiways connected with three parallel taxiways A, B and C, among which taxiways B and C are apron edge taxiways. The taxiway is 23m wide with shoulders at both ends, and the width is10.5m.. There is also a taxiway network around the apron. Its history can be traced back to 1938. Airbus A380, which has the largest passenger capacity in the world, took off and landed on the runway in 2008. Equipped with Class II instrument landing system. The second runway (02R/20L): 3600 meters long and 60 meters wide, with reinforced concrete pavement. There are five express exit taxiways on the second runway. It was put into use from June 5438 to February 65438 to August 2009. The second runway is connected with the original apron and the first runway of the airport through the airplane taxiway bridge across the provincial highway 103. Equipped with Class III instrument landing system. The third runway (being demonstrated): The construction of the third runway is currently under planning. The parallel runway is located at1525m east of the second runway. However, there are many factories near the airport, the land acquisition and demolition of large-scale construction land is complicated, and the airspace distribution around Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is relatively tight. It seems that the plan to build Chengdu Tianfu International Airport has gradually gained the upper hand. parking apron
The total area of the concrete parking lot is 703,000 square meters. There are 57 stands in the remote parking area, 20 stands in the domestic terminal, 8 stands in the international terminal and 2 stands in the branch terminal. Each parking area has a separate taxiway.
navigation system
This airport is equipped with primary and secondary radars. On the west side of the airport, a Doppler VHF omnidirectional ranging system (DVOR) and a range finder (DME) are installed. The airport runway 02L/20R is equipped with Class II instrument landing system, which is one of the fourth airports in China to open Class II blind landing system (the first three airports are Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport respectively), so as to ensure the safe take-off and landing of aircraft under low cloud and low visibility conditions. Under this system, the takeoff standard can be reduced from 550m runway visual range to 200m, and the landing standard can be reduced from 800m runway visual range to 350m m. The 02R/20L runway is equipped with a higher Class III instrument landing system.
Flight area lighting
The airport has high-intensity approach lights and elevation runway and taxiway side lights.
