A native folk artist has worked hard all his life. Her paper-cutting art has been called Picasso of China by foreign media! Unfortunately, Ku Lan Shu has passed away, and no one in China can cut paper like her!
She is also known as Miss Flower Arrangement!
In Yuhang Liangzhu Cultural and Art Center, I went to see her paper-cut art exhibition last week. Her paper-cutting is really different from traditional paper-cutting, with distinctive features, exotic customs and religious mystery! It is also full of a kind of sustenance for a better life!
For a person who loves paper-cutting since childhood, because of the pressure of life, he has been dealing with the land for many years and supporting his family with his own labor. When I was in my seventies, I once herded cattle and accidentally fell into a deep ditch. When the villagers found him, he was unconscious and lay in bed for more than four months. Just as her family was about to give up treatment and prepare for her funeral, she suddenly woke up!
When I wake up, I need scissors and paper cutting. All her works came after her seventies. Paper-cutting is the pillar of her life and her spiritual sustenance! She is integrated with paper-cutting and lives for paper-cutting. This is the artistic spirit of a generation of paper-cutting masters!
She is a well-deserved flower arranging lady!
