* * * Green Forest Park is located in the northeast of Yangpu District, Shanghai, with Huangpu River in the east and Simon Road in the west. Nenjiang Road crosses the south of the park, and 270 mu (654.38+0.8 million square meters) of land in the south is temporarily used as nursery land, which is called "Wanzhu Park".
The total area of the park is 1965 mu, and the public green space is 1870.6 mu. It is the largest park with forest as its main feature in the central city of Shanghai. There are three entrances and exits in the park: south, west and north. The south gate is on Nenjiang Road, and the west gate and the north gate enter from Simon Road.
The location of the park used to be riverside beaches, villages and farmland in eastern Shanghai. 1952, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government relocated four natural villages, namely Huangcun, Gujiazhai, Lujia Village and xinglong village, and dredged the Huangpu River, which served as the foundation for the municipal dredging company to fill the height with silt. The project started in July 1952, and 2665 mu (1776,700 square meters) was filled with dredged soil year by year, with an average elevation of 5.8 meters.
Park features: * * The Green Forest Park is dominated by plants, with nearly 200,000 plants and more than 200 varieties. There are hills, grasslands, lakes, streams, dense forests and bamboo forests. Form a natural space full of wild interests, and form Songtao Valley, Jungle Yuan Ye, Lin Qiu Love Night, Water Town Yingxiu and Tree Planting Memorial Forest.
