1. There are several Japanese schools in Dandong. You can visit them if you don't mind being a teacher.
Biefu, Donggang Japanese School and Liaodong College also have Japanese majors
2. As far as I know, there are not many companies in Dandong that can use Japanese. For example, there are only a few big companies like Alpine, the former Alpine School. Basically, it's all manufacturing, and there's also the food industry. It is not easy to find a job as a translator. There are some joint ventures near Donggang, which seem to be factories that process seafood.
3. Japanese restaurants. There are five or eight Japanese restaurants in Dandong, and few Japanese patronize them, so it is not very useful for improving Japanese.
I don't know what your Japanese level is. But personally, I think Japanese is still developing in Dalian.
I am also a Japanese major. I used to work in a Japanese-funded enterprise in Dandong, then moved to Dalian, and now I work as a translator in a Japanese enterprise in Dalian. For some reasons, I have tried to find a job in Dandong that can use Japanese, but it is difficult to find a satisfactory one.
I wish you all the best ~
