Transit flights require changing planes, which is not only time-consuming but also complicated.
Take transit passengers on intercontinental flights as an example. After a long flight, passengers are physically tired and the airline is too busy.
In addition to providing fare concessions for transit passengers, more attentive service is also an indispensable asset to attract travelers. For this reason, for Xiamen Airlines passengers who are in transit for more than six hours on the same day, the ground service department cooperates with contracted hotels to provide free accommodation services to provide transit passengers with a more comfortable service experience.
When there is a flight anomaly at the departure station, such as a long delay resulting in a tight transit time, the boarding, baggage, and check-in units will activate a plan to arrange for special personnel to guide the entire process, prioritize the unloading of transit baggage, print boarding passes for passengers in advance, and designate special check-in counters for high-end transit passengers and large group transit passengers as appropriate to ensure that passengers can transit smoothly and in a timely manner. In the event that it is not possible to determine the time of transit, Xiamen Air's check-in staff will make every effort to assist passengers in signing on and arranging for rest.
