Let's go and see the ancient villages with ethnic customs in Guizhou.

Gaodang village
Speaking of Gaodang Village, many people may have heard of it. After all, it is also a "network celebrity" village in Guizhou. They are traditional ancient villages registered by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and one of the first batch of 340 "villages with ethnic characteristics in China" named by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.
Gaodang is a rare well-preserved Buyi ancient village in Guizhou. The stockade is old enough, and Gu Jiankong will definitely like it.
The houses in Zhaili are all stone-wood structures and dry-fence stone houses, which were built in the Ming Dynasty. The existing residential buildings are the earliest in the early Republic of China. Folk houses are basically three-story buildings with three bedrooms and one living room. The bottom floor is the livestock shed, the second floor is the living room, and the third floor can be used as the living room and warehouse.
There are only two surnames in the stockade, Yang and Wu. According to local people, the two families are in-laws, the Wu family is an uncle and the Yang family is an aunt. In such a land of feng shui, the Wu family naturally could not forget their sisters, so they took the Yang family from the back hill to live together.
In addition to folk houses, there are many ancient buildings in the village. According to legend, during the Ming Dynasty, many bunkers and camps, large and small, were built here because of the typical karst landform, which was convenient for stationing troops.
There is also an ancient well in the village, which is said to have never dried up for thousands of years. The shaft wall, manhole cover and front fence are all made of stone, which used to be the main drinking water source for Gaodang people.
On the Alsophila River outside the stockade, there is an ancient Alsophila Bridge, which was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of 600 years. Although the construction technology is extensive, it is completely integrated with the surrounding natural landscape.
Around the ancient village, there is a shuttle river about 6 kilometers long, which flows slowly from top to bottom in the canyon between two natural villages. The river is very clear and the scenery on both sides is beautiful. A tourist service center barbecue was built by the river. It is said that there are wild fish and snapping turtles in the river.
The supporting facilities of the stockade are also good. On the other side of the ancient village, there are some newly built stone houses, where farmhouses and inns are concentrated. After visiting the ancient village, you can come here to eat and play cards.

At the end of 10 every year, the ginkgo trees in the village are already golden. In the ancient ginkgo trees, you can vaguely see the farmhouse of Qingwa Mulou and hear the sound of the stream flowing.

Banqiao art village
Banqiao Art Village is named because it is located in Shangbanqiao Village, Huaxi, where art is the most "grounded".
Banqiao Art Village was once the home of several state-owned enterprises supported by Shanghai and Tianjin in the 1960s. Walking here, idle old industrial workshops and mottled machinery and equipment are still telling the lingering historical memories left by the industrial civilization era.
Banqiao Art Village now not only integrates painting, calligraphy, sculpture and tourism, but also provides services, catering, entertainment, theme bars, famous snacks and so on.
Big chimney, red factory, graffiti wall. Every room here is a holy place to take pictures, and there are usually some wonderful performances, colorful exhibitions and other activities on weekends and holidays.

Address: Tianyuan South Road, Huaxi District, near Guizhou Electronic Industry School.

The leaves and mature grains of five-color rice here will show five colors, such as black, purple and pink, which are colorful. When you come here on National Day, you can go to the fields to cut rice, bundle rice and thresh millet, and experience a farming life.

You can also taste the authentic farmhouse meal, the unique organic green meal in Yangfang Village. The ingredients are farm-produced, zero pesticides and fertilizers, green ingredients and traditional wooden pot cooking.

Village food recommends that Dong people rely on mountains to eat, be good at using local materials and have diversified diets. In addition to their own fruits and vegetables, there are wild ingredients all over the mountains. The most common hospitality foods on the dining table are blood red, beef shriveled, pickled fish, bacon, grilled fish and various seasonal snacks. Today, we will introduce the most comprehensive Dong cuisine.
Dong pickled fish is the fishing season for field fish and the peak season for pickled fish before the autumn harvest every year. The unique feature of pickled fish is fermentation. Smart Dong people mix steamed glutinous rice and Chili powder evenly, and then put them on the salted fish fillets layer by layer, so that the glutinous rice and fish fillets can naturally ferment in a closed wooden barrel. Salt keeps fish fillets fresh, wine makes fish fillets sweet, and long-term pickling makes peppers sour. In the case of different materials, pickled fish will have different tastes because of different people's pickling, some are sour, some are sweet, some are salty and some are spicy. Delicious pickled fish should be salty, sweet and slightly sour, so it is also called "pickled fish" in Dong area. The curing time is about six months to one year, and it can be fried, roasted or eaten raw (if you want to challenge).
In other places, hot and sour water chestnut is used for cooking, but in Sanlong, it is almost always used for pickling. Wash and drain fresh water chestnut, add a lot of Chili powder and a little salt or marinate it directly in Dong Chili sauce for about 1 month. Time can also be determined by tasting. If there is still spicy water chestnut, it means that there is not enough time. Pickling.
The practice of bamboo shoots and cakes is quite complicated, which is not common in today's Dong areas. Bamboo shoot cake consists of fresh and tender bamboo shoots, steamed and cooled glutinous rice, pepper and dried pepper, which are mashed together and kneaded with sesame seeds on both sides to make a cake. After frying, the aroma is overflowing. I can't wait to think about it. Late summer and early summer are the harvest seasons of wild bamboo shoots in Sanlongdong Village. Fresh and green bamboo shoots can be turned into various delicacies with the skillful hands of Dong women. The most representative bamboo shoot food is "bamboo shoot cake", which is made of fresh and tender bamboo shoots, steamed glutinous rice, pepper, pepper, fragrant leaves, sesame and other natural ingredients. It is a unique food of Sanlong, and its unique taste is memorable.
Dong's bacon is also called sour meat, which is similar to pickled fish. It is also made of glutinous rice fermented by sticking a wine-soaking stick with Chili powder. Cured meat needs a lot of pork, so it is usually cured when pigs are killed in the New Year.

Blood red is the most festive dish of Dong people, and it is one of the necessary dishes for weddings and celebrations on holidays. Mix the fried pork, pork liver, pork belly and other internal organs with the unique Dong ingredients such as roasted peppers, broken ears and shredded radish, then pour in fresh pig blood and stir well, which is an authentic blood red bowl! Although this dish has discouraged many foreigners, it is a delicious food praised by Dong people!
Hot sauce Dong people's hot sauce can be subdivided into many kinds, which are marinated with different ingredients and Chili powder. Hot sauce is sometimes the raw material of pickled pepper, ginger and water chestnut. The most common ones are fish hot sauce and pure hot sauce. The so-called fish hot sauce is marinated with fish viscera and Chili powder. The strip-shaped fish sausage will make foreigners think it is earthworm, so many people are afraid, but those who like early adopters are worth a try. Every household in Sanlong has hot sauce, which is fried if you want. It is delicious with white rice. Hot sauce is generally not used to entertain guests. If you want to eat, you can ask the host.
